Large Chinese late Qing Guangxu period cylindrical form censer decorated in underglaze blue against a white porcelain ground with a faint blue-green tint with a pair of four-clawed dragons chasing a flaming pearl above waves. The Matl double birds "looking back" earrings are one of the most endearing designs by Matilde Poulat. These are hallmarked with one of her earliest signatures. They measure 1 7/8th inches long including the dangles. The weight is 20 grams heavy. There is a warm natural patina to the silver. A superb treasure.
