A very rare and large repousse and finely engraved box. On the lid many figures in a garden in front of a palace, on the side scenes of warriors. Diameter 15,5 cm , height 7 cm. Weight 720 grams. Excellent condition with normal age wear. Late 19th/ early 20th century.

Description:

A miniature bronze Tibet piece was well gilt and was uniquely in solid form.
Well preserved with the bright gilding on the surface when some flaking had happened to the face.

Rare, hand made and standing 4 3/4" tall this sterling silver and black onyx ostrich sculpture was designed and signed in the early 1950's by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling. Comprised of an egg shaped body of black onyx with white specks. The bird has applied detailed wings and tail feathers along with an intricately detailed face, head and ostrich neck. Description: A terracotta amulet or Tsa-Tsa of Tibet was preserved well in a fine condition. By a mold image of Shakyamuni Buddha who in the earth-witness gesture on the front, gold pigment was applied including the drapery throne when faded red and darken purplish pigment were left to the background. Clear reticulate grains were on the back side. Date: 18th century, Tibet. Height: 8.2cm, Depth: 1.6cm(base).

Antique gold gilt Thailand amulet exqusite ancient Buddha. Provenance purchased from and English ambassador to Thailand from his personal collection. Measuring 3" x 1.5" or 8cm x 4cm. In all original antique condition.

The wheel is covered with deep red coral beads. Additional strands of coral beads and the turning weight are attached to a narrow leather strap which bands the center of the wheel. The handle was hand turned. Almost 12" hight and 5" in diameter, this old prayer wheel has seen many turns.

An extraordinary amethyst and silver bracelet by Fred Davis, c 193. The weight and mass of the large rectangular amethyst stones is complimented by the open design of the silver links. I believe this bracelet to be quite rare. It measures 7 3/4" end to end and is 1 1/4" wide. It weighs 88 grams. It is in fine original condition with only a tiny line and ding to the edge of one of the silver rounds. It in no way detracts from the piece. I mention it only for total accuracy...

A delightful metal Japanese hair kanzashi, mix metal. This is an early Victoria by Anna Brilanti who was one of Taxco's first women designers. It is crafted with thick silver and thick repousse links. It is 86 grams and riveted for strength and for it to stay in it's angled form. It has 16.5 in. of wearable length and with dark patina in it's recesses. There is no damage of any kind. This necklace has a rich presence and is perfect for career wear just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

Oriental tea pot made of tinned copper with finely chased design of vegetal pattern. With a pewter interior and foot, this lac burgaute bowl is inlaid with multiple colored mother of pearl sections, including finely carved leaves, trees, landscape features, people, and architectural elements. Description:

A bronze Shakyamuni buddha was kept in very good condition.
Had been gilt on the surface but just faded, there are only traces left in the pleats.
It was rarely found that the under cover at the bottom was original when tickling sound was heard inside the hollow base.
It hinted that the original devotion items were still kept within after 600 years.

Magnificent robe with fine embroidery with lots of gold thread on a red silk ground.There are 5 buttons made of solid gold, weighing ca. 8 grams each. The robe is in a very good condition, only some lose threads and light discoloring. H. 128 cm, W. 145 cm. This piece dates from the 2nd half of the 19th century.

Beautifully crafted, with the iron surface appearing like stone, this large tetsubin measures 10 3/4" high, 7" wide to tip of spout, with the body measuring 5".
