The body is coated in an attractive golden yellow / amber glaze that is very finely-crackled. In places the surface has acquired a silvery iridescence, a result of long burial in damp conditions...

Chinese Western Han Dynasty Incised & Burnished Pottery Cocoon Jar

This wonderfully-shaped pottery jar was made during the early part of the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8), or possibly the preceding Qin Dynasty (221 - 206 BC). A Tang dynasty Changsha bowl, rounded side with deep center and unglazed base, bowl with callygraphic floral in brown color motif, bowl covered with creamy glazed PERIOD : Tang Dynasty (618-906 AD) MEASUREMENTS: 5.5 cm tall, 15 cm wide. CONDITION: no chips, cracks, or hairlines, retoration on minor glaze loss on the backside.

Earthenware white kendi with elegant shape, flat base. MEASUREMENT : 20 cm height, 19 cm wide. PERIOD : Tang Dynasty (618-906 AD) CONDITION: Perfect, no chips, cracks or hairlines and free from restorations.

Made of red pottery, covered with a white slib on which the painting was applied. Some of the pigments are still remaining. H. 33 cm. Condition: very good, no traces of repair, although repairs are very common and accepted on archaeological pieces. There is paint loss and there is soil stuck to the figure. On the inside there are the remains of plant roots. A TL-test from Laboratory Kotalla confirms the authenticity of this piece. We bought three fat ladies that came from the same tomb...

Decorated with stylized mythical beasts against a geometrical background. Diameter 9,4 cm. Excellent condition with good age wear and patina. Comes with a custom made stand.

Fine & Rare Chinese Neolithic Pottery Jar

Description:

A black-marble lion was in crouching posture.
Being rendered by excellent carving skill, the lion was in fierce look by bulge eyes, bared teeth and tongue.
Even though excavated with imperfections, the lion was still momentum by his strenuous muscle, the strong limbs and the flouring manes.
Bing preserved with original condition from excavation, the lion was perfectly fit to a custom-made brass base which was desighed and hammered by a modern metal artist...

The shape of the jar is very typical for the Siwa Culture with the curved mouth and the handles. Apart from some minor repairs to the mouth rim it is in good condition. H. 13 cm. This jar is from a collection of 30 Neolithic pieces that I bought from a Dutch collector.

A Neolithic Jade Ring was found in nice type.
It can be easily used as a pendant.

Total with stand: H 7.3 cm (2.87in), Sekibo itself: H 5 x 4.5 x 5 cm (1.96 x 1.77 x 1.96in)...
