This is a Chinese Blanc de Chine libation cup, on a stand of molded branches, the exterior carved and molded with flowering prunus branches; 3 " high, 5" wide.
Two Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period porcelain lidded ginger jars densely decorated around the circumference in famille rose enamels with a continuous spring fishing festival scene. This pattern is often referred to as the "one hundred boys" motif. A jar and cover finely painted in 17th/18th Century Kangxi Style decorated with prunus blossom against a 'cracked ice' ground. This item was made during the reign of the Guangxu Emperor (1875-1908).

A cricket cage made of a long bodied gourd with ivory mounts to accommodate the ivory and tortoise shell lid. The surface of the gourd has a leathery look from age. The tortoise shell piece has intricate pierced carvings of the "Eight Taoist Symbols" amidst curling tendril patterns.

Chinese Qing dynasty Daoguang period (1821-1850) geyao type porcelain censer of compressed bombe form with thick flat rim and two animal-mask handles at the sides. The pale gray glaze, covered overall with the characteristic black and brown crackles, completely covers the interior of the censer and the exterior of the ringed foot and extends part way down the interior foot of the recessed unglazed base. Measures 5” diameter from handle to handle and stands 2 ½” high...
A very rare and large rootwood scholar's rock. China, 19th century. H. 37,5 cm (excluding stand. Condition: Beautiful wear and patina, there is a crack in the upper hanging branch (see pictures) but it has not been broken or restored. A troop of Shishi lion dogs sewn with couched gold thread. frolic among the blossoms and crashing falls embroidered on the re-purposed rich blue patterned Edo period silk of this altar cloth. The original form was likely an uchikake kimono, assembled as an altar drape as a tribute to the owner at a Buddhist Temple. Embroidered up high is the Mitsuba-aoi crest of the Tokugawa Shogun, indicating this was from an aristocratic family as the quality of the embroidery presmes...

Description:
A beautiful religious painting in ink and colors on paper. Depiction of the holy image of Manjusri, the painting was preserved very well with only some old stains left on the outer portion of the painting.
It measures 230cm long X 100cm wide for the work including mounting. Otherwise the painting measures 166cm X 85cm.
