A Chinese Ming longquan Zhejiang celadon censer. Robustly potted bombé sides, the exterior is decorated with a cross hatched pattern, the bowl standing on three feet.

Dated to Ming Dynasty - 16th century

Condition: In generally very good condition. No major breaks or chips. There are some very minor surface imperfections due to the use of the item, but nothing that detracts from it's beauty.

A fine 18th century Chinese molded celadon-glazed porcelain dish, finely decorated chrysantemum flower with foliated rim, covered overall in green glazed. DATE : Qianlong (1736 - 1795). SIZE : D = 28 cm CONDITION : very good condition, no chips, cracks, hairlines and free from restorations.

A charming brushpot inlaid with mother-of-pearl, ivory and hardstones. The inlay work is of branch with flowering plum blossoms. The back has a poem of archaic Chinese characters inlaid in silver. The wood is a dark hardwood (unidentified) of a slightly reddish tint.

Massive Qing dynasty Chinese polished bronze tripod ding censer with compressed body, two arched loop handles at the rim, and tapered legs fitted on a custom hardwood stand. Cast in a Ming dynasty style and bearing a six-character apocryphal Xuande reign period mark within a rectangle on the base. Believed to date as early as the 18th century. Magnificent tureen decorated with floral patterns. The handlles in the shape of gilded lion masks. The lid crowned by a gilded Foo dog. Dimensions: 34x22x26 cm. Condition: a 7 cm hairline in the bowl, otherwise perfect.

Chinese Qing dynasty round form deep plate decorated in underglaze blue on a celadon-tinted white porcelain ground with a central stylized "shou” (long life) medallion encircled by ruyi lappets. Four rows of dense, stylized Sanskrit characters for the sacred “om” syllable extend around the circumference of the well. Four scholar’s objects decorate the exterior. A very good b/w bowls, decorated each with four phoenix medallions at the exterior supported by unique floral sprays or pomegranate, the interior center with a phoenix medallion within double circle. "Da Ming Cheng Hua Nien Zhe" mark to the base within double circle, but dating to be early Ching Kangxi period ware. Condition : re-touched two tiny flake glaze to the rim, further in perfect condition. Diameter: 16.5cm.

Waves lap at the dark shore crowded with cranes on this elegant 18th century paper screen embellished with clouds of gold flake signed Hokkyo Shunboku (O-oka Shunboku, 1680-1763). A bramble of dried bamboo hides one sleeping form, the others strut about oblivious to the frigid winter air. Turgid blue water rolls slowly behind, waves licking at the near shore...
