A round-shaped pottery inkstone was well preserved.
Supported by three foot which were intriguingly and characteristically in figures as crouching animal, the inkstone was mold with flat surface.
The surface was used as grinding pool for inkcake, so it was concaved in the middle.
In two-step style on the surface, the outer lower rim was designed for resting the lacquered cover which had been decayed and vanished.

A set of seven (7) miniature paintings on canvas of winged Tibetan protector deities and gods surrounded by flames including Vajrapani and Yama Dharma Raja. Four (4) of the miniatures are finely executed line drawings with color washes on a light-weight canvas. These four appear to have been done by the same artist and are of approximately the same size. A beautiful example of this exquisite art form in a floral vase on tinted silver foil background. Measuring approx. 6 inches tall 15.5 cm. In excellent condition no damage. A fine example would be a nice addition to any collection.
A carved wooden box with removable lid revealing a container for matches and tobacco slotted in the side to carry a Kiseru pipe. Exquisitely crafted by a man who both understood design and wood grains, it is likely from the arts and crafts era. It is 5-1/2 x 3-1/2 x 5 inches (14 x 9 x 13 cm) and is in overall fine condition, with wear to the base attesting to age.

Most unusual Inuit soapstone carving of two figures, one a human face in hood, and on the back, a standing owl.
Good dramatic size, it measures 9 3/4" high and is 4 1/2" wide and 4 1/2" deep.
Signed on the base, with the letter E, indicating that it is from the Eastern region of Inuit culture. Other incised marks may indicate artist.
Striations in the rock are quite visible in the side views of the sculpture.

A Ming dynasty celedon charger with floral and ribbed design. Flaws in glaze, including exposed spot on rim appear to be from time of making. No cracks or chips. High resolution images on request. Diameter: 11 inches; height 2 inches.
In lobed melon shape, this silver box features fine repousse designs all over the surface, with an applied branch holding various flowers and leaves. Underneath the branch is a large leaf with numerous pointed ends, all stamped and decorated.
It measures 5 1/2" high, 5 3/4" in diameter and weighs roughly 11 troy ounces.
Stamped T900 on the base.
The lid fits tightly, and the box is in good condition, no apparent dents, losses, or other damage.

A pair undone antique Chinese sleeve bands, bordered with a black band and green cotton lining. The wine-red silk ground finely embroidered in Pekinese stitch, some detalis in satin stitch and couched metal threads, showing figures, maybe immortals in a landscape. Dimension: c. 111 cm x 37.5 cm. Condition: fine, only few stains.
A spectacular Ikebana basket, dating to late Meiji or Taisho era, in beautiful condition.
It measures 11 3/4" high (one side is slightly lower, 11 1/2") and is 15" wide.
It retains the original metal liner.
Woven of varying size strips of bamboo, the design is complex, demonstrating the fine skill of the basket maker.
No breaks or losses, just minor wear from usage.
There is a bit of dust in the woven areas, which we have not attempted to remove or clean.
