This pair of Kingfisher hair ornaments are from my personal collection. The kingfisher bird feathers are in very good condition and the ornaments are 4 inches across at their widest point. Each piece has its original hair pin attached to the paper back with a wire.

Enduring old patina was preserved on the surface.
A manufacturer's signature Qian-Mao-Hao-Zao was inscribed at the bottom.

Chinese Qing dynasty Tongzhi mark and period 5-petalled foliate form porcelain footed bowl decorated on the exterior with alternating black and red calligraphic inscriptions set against a white porcelain ground. The bowl has a turquoise interior and gilt at the rim. A short foliate form base is decorated with a band of red scrolls. The turquoise glazed deep recessed base holds an iron-red zhuanshu 6-character Tongzhi mark on a square white ground. The foot is unglazed...

A nice famille jaune bat motive tea cup. It has a Tonzhi seal mark both on the cover and the base of the cup and is of the period.

A minor manufacturing flaw on the cover (photo 2)and five hair lines as shown in the photos 4 and 5. two with stain and the other can be seen at certain angle only. Other than that, it is in fine condition, no chip or repair.

Unusually large Chinese late Qing compressed globular form incense burner with slightly everted rim supported by three short legs and covered overall with an amber-colored monochrome crackled glaze that extends to cover the bottom of the feet. The glaze drips down the walls into the unglazed interior. This censer is likely from a South China kiln. A custom-made heavy hardwood stand is included. Estimated to date from the 19th century...

A burl wood peach tassel with a glass beaded ornament. The peach is a tremendous Chinese symbol for longevity as well as other auspicious attributes. Size: Peach. L.2.6cm. W. 2.5cm. Glass. L. 5cm.

Description: A white jade pendant was carved by a Chinese character-Suan Xi( double joys). By another motif in good metaphor-a butterfly being carved as decoration on top, the pendant was an elegant hanging piece in good nephrite Houtien quality. Qing Dynasty. Dimension:7.2cm x 4.2cm x 0.6cm

Large Chinese famille rose porcelain jardiniere with wide mouth and flattened rim enameled in bright pigments with a figural scene extending around the circumference. Diaper pattern band below rim. Unglazed foot and base. Original drain hole and plug. Late Qing dynasty (19th century) to possibly early Republican period. 13"H x 15 1/4" diameter. Weighs about 15 lbs. Very good overall condition with no chips or cracks. Some soiling to the interior from use.

This is a blue and white brush rest for a scholar study. The brush rest is manufactured in the likeness of blue and white wares on which Arabic and Persian inscriptions appear during the reign of emperor Cheng-Te, Ming dynasty. The painting is like a scroll work know as the “Muhammadan scrolls” with inter-twining foliage.

An Arabic inscription is found on both sides of the brush rest, in the centre of the brush rest, in a diamond shape medallion...

Description:

A wood Bian with carving inscriptions was in very good scholar taste.
" Zun Yo Xuon Tan" means eloquent talking will be amid the seats.
With simple words, it showed the enthusiastic inviting of a family host.
This kind of Bian was most likely having been put in a scholar chamber.
It is really hard to find a real scholar Bian like this. Most of them we found were for business using.

Description: A wood figure of a seating official was finely carved from one piece of camphor wood. Making use of the core of the wood, the wood circular growth rings were obviously revealed on the belly of the figure and were intriguingly as the grains of the wearing drapery. By excellent carving skill, the official was vividly rendered. The enduring patina added more atmosphere to this marvelous piece. Date: Qing Dynasty. Height: 23.5cm

Qing Dynasty blue and white tea cup with warmer lid estimated to be from period 1880-1890.

A rare huanghuali clapper with three beautiful pieces of huanghuali. The two outer clappers are rounded at the tops while the center piece is flat on both sides.The sound of the wooden clappers sets the rhythm of the music as well as some of the actions of the performers. Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period porcelain crocus vase with five lobes around a central cylindrical neck terminating in a bulb, decorated in the Hawthorn pattern with white branches of prunus blossoms set against a cobalt “cracked ice” ground. Description: A beautiful floral picture was done by unique techniques. Totally used with cast iron, the plants of peony flowers, the leaves and the stems were skilfully hammered, chiseled and soldered together into a natural form. The tradition of iron pictures was developed at late 18th century. For this piece, it was from late 19th century and had been finished with some black paint in the later date for covering it from further erosion. Condition: Very good...

Well hollowed, the water basin was in nice oval and flat form.
Some ink residue was left inside the basin.
