Nuan-Shou, Hand Exercisers were used for palm massage by practicing in one hand. Rolling it to make Qi running through the nerve endings.
The pairs were made from tiger bones.
Enduring old patina was yielded when bone tissues were obviously observed.
It is really fun when practicing them in your hand and hearing the tingling sound.
Date: Qing Dynasty, late 19th century.
Measurements: 4.6cm x 4.2cm x 2.7cm, each.

Separated in four sections in the cavetto, the plate was mold by lobed rim which was then by accurate look of imitating the silver counterpart of the same date.
In grayish white tint, the glaze was yielded with subtle incursions which was caused from age.
Motifs of tailing fish and sea waves were decorated in the center of the shallow bowl. They were the other characteristics of the ware from the dated periods...

A soapstone carving was depicted as a sitting Lohan.
Amusingly, the Lohan was seated with one bare foot and holding with the shoe.
By unique purplish red tint, the soapstone figure was preserved nicely with only minute defects on portions of the bottom's rim.
There were jewels and beads decorated on the robe, now were missing and left only with fastening holes.
Some similar pieces were in the big auction of Hong Kong...

A celadon Longquan long-neck bottle was survived from excavation in a nice condition.
By characteristics of the well mold body, the slightly inverted foot ring, the darken firing effects happened to the body clay and the pale gray tint of the revealed body clay, the lovely bottle was verified as from Southern Song Dynasty or at least from early Yuan periods.
The bottle was being excavated from the kiln site by some evidences...

Large Chinese Jin dynasty (1125-1234) Henan globular form stoneware jar with a high neck decorated on opposite sides of the shoulder with two appliqué dragons running around the circumference of the horizontally ribbed body. The interior is fully glazed and the exterior glaze stops well above the unglazed base. A root wood carving was intriguingly made to imitate a crane standing on the mountain top in stylized posture.
By two pieces of original root wood, and with minimal cuttings, a beautiful picture with traditional Chinese metaphor of Longevity was then nicely rendered.
The wood piece had yielded the fine patina on the surface in firm and sound condition when one minute old restoration was on the leg.

Framed by a unique species of Da-Yei Zitan, and panelled with burl wood board in the center, the wood stand was reinforced in the underside with lacquered cotton cloth.
Strong and sound, the wood stand was yielded on the surface with darken patina.

This jacket top was the traditional hand made costume worn by the woman of the White Collar Miao, They are one of China's tribal ethnic minority groups who live in the Dan Zhai. Jacket would have been worn for festival. It was made from indigenous plant fibers which were hand loomed, using indigo and batik dye process and detail with embroidered trim.
