This is a large and beautiful Song dynasty meiping or plum vase of baluster shape, the sides rising upwards from a slightly recessed base, curving in towards the stepped shoulder and surmounted by a short straight neck with what looks like a double ring. Fine & Rare Chinese Yuan Dynasty Black Pottery Censer

We have recently been lucky enough to have acquired a collection of very rare examples of burnished black pottery items made during the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368). Such items are relatively unknown and very little has been published about them. They are found in the northern provinces, particularly Gansu province in the north-west.

Charger covered with green glaze and decorated with chrysantemum on the center; glazed base. PERIOD : Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368 AD) MEASUREMENTS: 33 cm wide. CONDITION: broken but no missing part

The compressed globular body resting on low foot, surmounted by a tall cylindrical neck with everted rim, covered overall in a lightly bluish - green glaze, the unglazed footrim burnt orange in the firing. height 16.5 cm condition : crack line from the rim, and star line on the body. No chips and free from restorations.

Chinese Song Dynasty Incised Celadon Porcelain Bowl

This porcelain bowl was made in the 12th - 13th Century during the latter part of the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279). It is fairly "heavily-potted" and coated in a transparent pale celadon glaze, save for the foot that remains unglazed. The inner surface is decorated with incised floral patterns. It is most likely a product of the Anqi kilns in Fujian Province.

In beautiful floral shape and decorated patterns on the cover, the characteristic chalk-like body clay was revealed from the light lake-green glaze.

A Longquan Lotus-Petal Bowl was well shaped and was in nice lake-green tint.
Obvious incursions were found around the mouth rim under 20x magnify glass.

A finely mold Junyao Meiping was in decent form.
It was decorated on the surface with characteristic and favored purple splashes.
Obviously unearthed from burial, the bottle was found on the surface with harden adhesives when wiring glaze crackles were yielded in a charming way.

A lovely Jizhou bowl was applied with rarely-seen agate-like glaze.
By the dark chocolate-brown glaze underneath, strings of bead-like mottles were decorated in the cavetto.
On the outer surface, whitish brown effects were randomly yielded.
