Rare Large Chinese Han Dynasty Incised & Painted Pottery Dish

This dish was made over 2,000 years ago during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8). It is made from a fine-grained grey pottery, quite "heavily-potted" and relatively highly-fired, having a distinct ring when tapped. Its flat base is fairly small compared to its overall diameter. A very unusual vase by Teishitsu Gigei-In (Imperial Art Academy Member) Ito Tozan I enclosed in the original signed wooden box showing decidedly Art Nouveau styling. It is 20 x 8 x 32 cm (8 x 3 x 12-1/2 inches) and is in excellent condition.

Beautiful purse embroidered on both sides in counted stitch with bats in gold thread among blue clouds. Yellow colored drawstring,tassels and silk lining. Condition: fine. Little patina, yellow silk faded, the blue silk lining with stained area, one end of drawstring is loose. Dimension: 10.8 cm x 6.3 cm x 2 cm, weight: 42 g.

Blue and white dish decorated with prunus blossom on the interior, and mark on the base . Qianlong 18th century . Width = 26 cm. Condition : Excellent, no chips, hairlines, cracks and free from restorations.

A rare ewer of pear-shaped form, decorated each side with incised Phoenix on flight and impressive moulded lotus petal lappet at the lower section, covered with a pale bluish Yingqing glaze. Replacement cover from the same period and type wares. Yuan dynasty 14th century, Jindezhen wares. Condition is perfect excepted an old chip to the foot rim. High : 10 cm.

A fine celadon dish, decorated incised with flower scroll in the center and freely drawn floral sprays on the cavetto. Covered overall with Powder green glazed. Condition: there is a tiny flake chip on the mouth rim, scratching usage wear in the center of the dish, further in perfect condition with no any cracks and no other chips anywhere on the body . Ming dynasty 14th-15th century Longquan kiln, Zhejiang. Diameter: 30.5 cm.

Blue & White bowl, decorated with freely drawn flowers spray, inside the center with rosette stylist pattern. Ming dynasty middle 15th century Zheng Dong period. Condition with one hairline and firing crack on base, otherwise is perfect. Diameter: 17 cm and High: 7.5 cm.

A fine celadon dish, covered overall with blue green glaze to the base, very rare colour for celadon and absolutely suitable for collector pieces. Song dynasty 12th-13th century Longquan ware. Short firing crack about 0.5cm it only appears in outside and viewable on enlargement 7, otherwise is perfect, no other crack, no chips and no restored. Diameter: 12.7 cm and High: 4.6cm.

A fine and rare blue & white dish, decorated with a pair of Peacock on the rock surrounded by peony scrolls, grass, fungus within double circle, the wall cavetto with continuously Ruyi scrolling pattern. A very rare crystal tiger from Burma/Thailand. Crystal was thought to have magical powers and the tiger represents strength. It is unknown how they drilled the holes to make it wearable.As you can see they were drilled at both ends, probably before the crystal was carved. Age: over two thousand years old. Size: L. 3cm. W. 1.5cm Condition: Perfect.

A beautifully Qing dynasty enamelled pink-ground "famille rose" bowl with seal mark and period of Hsien Feng (1851-1861) and of the period. Brightly painted with alternating upright lappets surrounded by meandering foliate and branching leaf on an incised with a wave like pink background. The interior of the bowl is evenly applied with light turquoise enamel.

There are no sign of cracks or chips...

Heavy pigment on thickly veined gold creates a powerful collection of scenes from the Taiheiki, the 11th century story of the fall of the courtiers and usurpation of power by two military families, the Taira and the Genji. The screen dates to the 18th century, or middle Edo period. Many old repairs attest to age. We have had it completely remounted, with no painting restoration performed. A set of five tea cup holders(Cha Tuo) were in beautiful lotus-leaf's shape. Well cast and nicely carved, the basins will suit every tea cups in serene tea ceremony.

Enduring old patina was preserved on the surface.
A manufacturer's signature Qian-Mao-Hao-Zao was inscribed at the bottom.

A good and rare found of Swatow/Zhangzhou type b/w dish, decorated at the interior with three Phoenix on flight among floral scrolls. Ming dynasty 17th century. Condition with well balance potted and perfect except a kiln chip covered with glaze to rim, otherwise is excellent. Diameter: 18.5cm.
