Description:This superb glazed bowl was made in the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). The bowl has been glazed in a yellowish glaze with the freely-drawn design in green and brown glazes. Diameter 15 cm. Applied with attractive blue-sky glaze on the surface, the dish’s surface was decorated with one stroke of purple-red splash which by casually-rendered way.

A black-glazed Jizhou bowl was preserved in a fine condition.
By a beautiful grayish image of freely painted plum branch in the cavetto against the black ground, the tea bowl was mold in a typical Wan shape when standing by a flat foot ring which was a strong characteristic for a Jizhou bowl.
The buff-tinted soft-feel paste revealed at the bottom was another obvious characteristic for this dated ware.

An old Xer inkstone was intriguingly made in a shape of the ancient Chinese musical instrument-GuQin.
Nicely fitted in the original Suanzi wood box, the inkstone was preserved in a perfect condition except some old abrasions on the surface.
And the well carved inscription: Xi-Ann-Ju-Xi(Xi Ann the Recluse)was on the underside of the inksotne.

Date: Qing Dynasty, 19th century.
