Description:A unique blue and white inkcake holder was in flat drum’s shape. Painted on the surface with Buddhist diagrams and floral patterns,the basin was decorated with round dots on the upper and lower rim as drum’s nails. In the center, the small circular brush-lick pool was unglazed and stained with some old ink. As to the painting, cobalt blue was concentrating within the flowing brush strokes. The darkened blue suggested that native Chinese ingredients were used...

This is a museum quality and large amber glazed pouch ewer from the Liao Dynasty (907-1125). Tall and handsome, it stands on a flat splay foot rising upwards to a bulging side body with a long vertical spout with foliated mouth rim and a rounded handle instead of the pinch handle. The whole pouch ewer is coated with dark amber glaze on a white colour slip stopping short of the splay foot rim showing the red colour stoneware...

Description: An ancient wood sculpture of a Buddha was done in Yuan Dynasty. With tauted posture, serene facial expression, the religious image was still imposing even after 700-800 years of enduring age. Defected on the face, lost of the limbs and decays and frets on the surface, the wood piece was very light due to long time of exposing to the dry air of northern China. A precious ancient Chinese religious sculpture was kept partially with old blue pigment and gold leafs...

This Japanese Fireman Hanten is made of hand-loomed Sashiko weave cotton fabric. This was the fabric of choice for the firefighting jackets because they could and would be drenched with water to keep the fireman safe from the flames while fighting fires. This piece is hand sewn and has clearly been heavily used. It has several holes and patches. When I got it years ago, it smelled badly of wood smoke...I did wash it to get rid of the smell.

A set of scholars desk items, including a Chinese Qing dynasty crystal brush rest in the form of two mountains, Chinese crystal stamp carved with four characters between dragons, and an unusual obelisk written with the Nichiren Buddhist epitaph Na-mu Myoho-ren-ge-kyo in radical script over textured surface, glass or crystal. We have been unable to find a single inclusion in the obelisk, making it either a perfect crystal, suiting a religious object, or glass...

A cormorant cries out to the sea on the lid of this fantastic suzuri bako writing box enclosed in a red lacquered kiri-wood box. Inside the birds mate looks up from among gold flecked lotus leaves growing wild along the waters edge. The box contains the original tray with stone, the edges of which are flecked with gold. It is in excellent condition but for on ding to the inside of the base, lower left, and one in roughly the same position on the lid...

Description: A Cizhou bowl was slipped with white glaze and decorated with a Chinese character “ For”-Buddha . In a good calligraphic writing of the meaningful word , this bowl was most likely produced for religious use, or for scholars who were spiritually Buddhism oriented. In hues of aged ivory white contrasting with dark brownish decorating lines, the bowl was preserved with earth from burial. The incursions were obvious on the mouth rim when the condition of the bowl is very good...

This is a small Tang Dynasty funerary sancai or tri-colour tea cup. It stands on a flat and small footrim and then everted flat and vertically upwards towards and everted mouth rim. The tri-colour are green, beige and amber, both in long streak in interior of the cup and some form of flower motif on outside.

There is no repair or restoration, some abrasion, firing and manufacturing faults which can be seen on the photos...

An exqusite example of Japanese imari in a coverd bowl with intricate hand painted designs of dragons pheonix birds shishi and roosters artists signed "Kutani". Richly embelished with 24k gold decorations. In excellent condition no chips or cracks some minor glaze crazing in interior of lid overall the condition is incredible. Measuring approx 10.5inches wide by 5 inches tall a masterpiece of museum quality.

Description: A black bowl from 12th Century was well molded and glazed uniquely. Applied in mottles with brown glaze on the interior and exterior against the black glaze, abstract firing effects was yielded with charming purplish blue when amid with brownish tint. Minute pinpoints incursions were spread dispersedly on the surface reflecting the dirt-like foggy hue(see pictures 9, 10, 11), and makes the mottles like different halos...

Marked with the makers mark R/Club/D in a Diamond, Minerva mark No. 1 for 950/1000 silver (finer than sterling). Ravinet D’Enfert has been in business since 1891, and is considered one of the top silversmiths in Europe. Compass measures 4 inches (10.2 cm) in diameter, and weighs approximately 9.11 Troy ounces (283.5 grams)...

A beautiful antique Victorian / Art Nouveau 14KT yellow gold ring in the form of two intertwined snakes, each with a genuine ruby in its head. Circa 1900. Snakes were a popular motif in the Victorian era, signifying eternity and love, and were also a popular motif in the Art Nouveau and Art Deco eras. Marked 14K and also marked with a what looks like a maker's mark of a D in a lozenge shaped cartouche. The rubies are gemologist verified...

Fabulous vintage 1960s 14KT gold and genuine Persian turquoise pierced hoop drop earrings. The backs are marked 14K ATL and the other elements test positive for 14KT gold. The gold has a slight rosy tone. With Persian turquoise beads and tiny coil shaped elements strung on hoops, with gold balls at the top posts. Very classic and modern and super wearable with everything, day or evening.

Each is 1 1/2 inches wide by 1 3/4 inches long. Excellent condition. Photos enlarged to show detail.

An inscribed very heavy blackwood chest. The inscription states that it was given to a high official as a gift. There are two dragons carved on the front panel that probably had protruding heads that are now missing. Size: H. 36cm. L. 36.2cm. W. 28cm. Condition: No repairs.

Description: A white jade carving of a boy holding a lotus bud was from 18th century. With very good carving skill depicting the smiling face, the robe and the posture, the jade figurine was preserved in good condition except with some frets on the heels. People always say that jade is hard to date. To this piece, the obvious facial characteristics can speak fully the old imagery of a Chinese figure...
