Have you ever seen this tin before? I hadn't. It's one of the rare tins. The top has been replaced. An excellent restoration. Otherwise, the condition is great. It dates to circa 1915.

Worcester in the C18th and early C19th can be divided into the Dr Wall period 1752-1776, the Davis period 1776-1783 and the Flight and various Barr's periods 1783-1840. The factory used a large range of marks, the most common being the crescent marks, both open and hatched, the fret mark and the script and printed W. Some Worcester under glaze blue painted patterns have their own unique mark. Soapstone soft paste porcelain proved to be the best of the soft paste recipes and Worcester produced...
