A spectacular set of bira-bira-kanzashi hair pins in the form of cranes among blossoming plum and pine formed of silver which come enclosed in a custom made silk-lined wooden box. Two are 13 inches (33 cm) long, the other is 9 inches (23 cm) long and all are in fine condition. According to a label inside the box they are from Akita City in Northern Japan, sold by Takeyaso Hon-ten. The box is 15 x 17 x 5 inches (38 x 43 x 13 cm). A vintage Antonio Pineda tie clip out of the designer's mod line that combined oxidized silver with pearls. Very slick, understatedly elegant and in excellent condition with an obligingly tight spring. The clip measures 1 1/2" long by 3/8" wide and it weighs 9.7 grams. It is fully signed with Antonio's crown as well as Eagle 17 assay mark and "970" "STERLING TAXCO MEXICO" and dates in the 1950s-60s.

A truly monumental sterling silver bracelet from Peru, this pieces features intricate cut-outs, dramatic oxidation and figural appliques at the center of each link. The workmanship here is beautiful and the figures are crisp in detail standing out against their textured background. Extra wide at just above 2" the bracelet has an inner circumference of 7 1/8" (clasped) and it weighs 76.9 grams. Excellent craftsmanship by Remy with a gorgeous stone that is almost 2in. tall. The silver is thick and heavy at 76 grams total. This vintage Mexican treasure will fit up to a 7in. wrist. Doris Silver has remained a consistent source for masterpieces and this is certainly another. I have never seen any Mexican cuff constructed exactly like this one.
