A Vietnamese blue and white porcelain jarlet. Painterly chrysanthemum blooms and leafage decoration freely rendered and with some oxidized, heaped cobalt. Fair to good condition: There are three points where old, hard wax has been applied presumably to smooth kiln faults and possible a small rim chip if not just another kiln fault (we don't like to restore items or interfere with old conservation.) By greenish-white tint reflected in the glaze, the birds were well depicted in the detailed features and on the overall look.

A Yaozhou bowl was mold in curved rim.
Well carved with floral motifs on the surface outside the bowl, the bowl was stand on a circular foot ring.
Padding grits were preserved at the bottom when incursions were happened to the mouth rim and on the ridges of the patterns where the glaze was thinner.
It was in perfect condition.
Iridescent effects were reflected in the glaze.
