A rare 19th or early 20th century Malayan kris with an attractive pamir/pamor steel blade. The hilt has a (probably replacement) metal collar and a finely carved Garuda head in "kingfisher" form. The wood scabbard is decorated with engraved Straits Chinese style white metal bands depicting Buddhist emblems. There are old losses to the 'flared' top of the scabbard and the left 'ear' of the Garuda head is missing. Unusually there is no damage to the 'nose'. The old blade is in very good condition...

A very beautiful heavy, wide sterling cuff with 8 ribs by Frank Patania Sr. A subtle and notable touch are the smooth curved terminals. This bracelet measures 6" around in the inside plus and additional 1 1/2" opening. It is 2 1/2" wide and weighs a very sturdy 113 grams.

Well glaze in yellowish green tint, the censer was revealed with buff-tinted body clay in the cavetto and at the foot.
It was preserved in perfect condition with slight incursions happened to the glaze.

We are offering this gold wash Matl Salas snake made in the Spratling era with an eagle mark as shown in the picture provided. The coils are well spaced with none missing. The snake has a wonderful patina and shows a burnished color of gold with silver tips in the coils from wear that just look better and better with time.
