This extraordinarily difficult to find pharmacy “IDEAL CAPSULE FILLER” was used by early 20th century druggists in the Pierce Pharmacy, Hartford, Connecticut.

The machine was successfully developed to increase a pharmacist's capsule production. The patent date is stamped Oct. 31, 1905, and the direction guide is marked "Baltimore Capsule Co." The capsule filler has a filling plate with 4 parallel rows of 24 holes and each row was made for 2 different size capsules.

This is an outstanding example of an apothecary counter urn dating back to the late 1800s. Appears to be hand blown with rippling marks in the glass. The bowl is molded to the pedestal base and the cover sports a decorative knob.

Measuring 13"H x 6"W this lovely urn in in very nice condition. The cover has a few unobtrusive edge chips. The urn portion has the expected wear of faint interior scratching which is expected in antique glass. A wonderful find indeed that has fabulous visual appeal!

A Changsha ewer pot was rarely kept with the original cap.
Being applied with yellowish glaze, the ewer was decorated on the body with characteristic brownish stripes.
Intriguingly made to imitate a fowl, two wings and a tail were squeezed to the body. They were also the characteristic form for the Changsha wares.
The glaze was transparent and in greasy look while immensely spread crackles were yielded and were accompanied with incursioned earth.

By sound structure and well track-moved lid, the wood box was yielded with charming brownish patina on the surface inside and out.
Darken hue was accumulated in portions due to enduring age.
In quite good size, it was used as a storage box for scholar’s utensils.

This vintage dosage spoon measures approx. 4 3/4" long dates to the 1930-1940 era. On one end of the spoon there is a clock face with a rotating dial indicating the next time to take your medicine.

The handle of the spoon is engraved "D & G DRUG STORE" and in the bowl of the spoon are the graduation marks for 1 and 1/2 teaspoons.

A fine and nice tripod censer was applied on the surface with black glaze.
It was in decent look by well proportioned body with three supporting feet.
The feet was shaped with well-executed skill by apparently a bamboo cutter or some hard tools.
'Cause obvious scraping scars were left at the feet trunks.
The scars were also approved by a documented piece.(See last picture.)

Covered with typical old patina on the surface and left pigment between the lobes, the item was kept in very good condition except some minor dents which was not unusual to an old piece. Description: A rare excavation piece of a jadeite snuff bottle was in beautiful greenish tint and with obvious incursions. Even with un-satisfactory cracks which was due to long time of burial, the snuff bottle was in stable condition and the hollowing craftsmanship was quite good. I have 2 of these but I suspect they they are not really a pair, so I am selling them separately. Obviously, they have had a long and useful life.
