Circa 1880’s, this extremely rare, Log Cabin Cigar Tobacco Box with its fabulous, all-original, color lithograph is in just wonderful condition given its 120++ years of age!

Missing is much of the green liner paper to the box interior as well as the lower portion of the exterior brass latch. Additionally, the cabin lid has detached from the base although all aspects of the brass hinges appear to remain intact...

Description:

A brown-glazed Yuhuchun vase was in elegant form.
Well mold and being carved on the surface with affluent floral motifs, the vase was preserved in a perfect condition when enduring old crackles were spread immensely under the glaze.
Slight incursions were caused to the glaze and revealed by whitish tint.

Date: Yuan Dynasty,13th/14th century.

Provenance: Yaozhou kiln.

Description: A circular storage or seal paste box was made of precious Zitan wood. By a whole block of wood, the box was well shaped and hollowed. In a sturdy condition, the cover can be turned to match the basin tightly. Enduring old patina was yielded on the surface. Date: Qing Dynasty(late 19th century) Width: 9.3cm Height: 7cm.

This item was made circa 1940-1970 and originates from the Lower Sepik River area in Papua New Guinea. A Japanese carved Ivory netsuke of Daikokuten artist signed in very fine condition measuring 6 cemtimeters or 2.5 inches tall. Daikoku is variously considered to be the god of wealth, or of the household, particularly the kitchen. He is recognised by his wide face, smile, and a flat black hat. He is often portrayed holding a golden mallet called a Uchide Nokozuchi, otherwise known as a magic money mallet, and is seen seated on bales of rice, with mice nearby (mice signify plentiful food).

A very rare Song dynasty celadon Guan type large bowl, rounded side with deep center and glazed base, bowl decorated with raising lotus petal motif at exterior, crackled glaze and covered with grayish green glaze, dark stone ware material.
Bowl is in good condition no chip, no crack, no restoration, minor glaze degradation.

Description: A burl wood trunk was intriguingly made to be a nice tea leaves’ holder which was in full Zen spirits. Being set with tin barrel in the middle and framed on top and at the bottom with the same material, the tea caddy was in a sturdy condition and was ready for use any time. Nice patina was in the wood when the tin’s surface was well cleaned. Date: Qing Dynasty(19th century), Height: 13.2cm, Width: 11.9cm.

A pair of Chinese under-glaze blue decorated double-gourd vases depicting two confronting four-clawed dragons amongst foliage. The bases carry the four character reign mark of the Kangxi Emperor but these items were made later (probably for export) during the reign of the Guangxu Emperor (1875-1908)...

Travel set of two EBONY brushes with natural bristles and one comb in a Crocodile skin covered two piece case. The brushes and comb fit snugly in the case. Extremely Rare Poupee (doll) from the Louis Vuitton Toy Shop. Doll is pre-1941. Made from a type of plastic (celluloid?) with delicate hand painted features, dressed in a detailed regional costume of Bretagne (Brittany). Her original hang tag reads Je m'appelle/DONATIENNE/mon pays est/Batz sur Mer/en Bretagne which roughly translated is "My name is DONATIENNE and my land is Batz sur Mer in Brittany". Batz-sur-Mer was part of Brittany until 1941 when it was separated by the Vichy government...
