An incredible organic form, the delicate petals appearing to waft in some tide by Shingu Sayaka enclosed in the original signed wooden box. A closed bud on the side is lined with hundreds of tiny sharp needles in black. It is 8 x 5 x 4 inches (20 x 12 x 10 cm) and in excellent condition.
Shingu Sayaka was born in Osaka, the industrial and commercial heartland of central Japan, in 1979...

Daruma is the name called in Japan, he is well-known"Bodhidharma" as the founder of "Zen" Buddhism. He was a real Indian Buddhism monk and spreaded meditation method to China in 6th century, he had established Zen Buddhism. And then Zen Buddhism was transported to Japan. He has been called "Daruma" loved by Japanese ordinary people, they has been making doles or toys etc...

Marbleized pinks, molten iron blending with rust, moss green and everything in between can be seen in this amazing onslaught of color. His designation “Manyosai” comes from the ancient selection of poetry named after the infinite shades of fallen leaves. We can easily see in this piece how he chose the epithet...
