Heavy gauge sterling necklace by MARGOT DE TAXCO, Mexico, c.1948. Made of riveted links(see back closeup photo), this beautifully constructed necklace is in excellent condition. This is one of our favorite pins! The colors are so pretty, and the leafy design is so very Arts & Crafts-y! It has a berry and leaf motif, highlighted by a central cushion-cut cabochon blue chalcedony (thought to bring good luck), with a round green aventurine cabochon on either side. Measuring 1-1/4” x 3/8", it is unmarked but tests as silver. It is in excellent condition, although the pin is a little bent (pretty typical for these old pieces)...

Alberto Contreras Sr. was trained by master silversmith Frank Patania Sr. in the late 1940's and employed at the Patania Thuderbird Shop in Santa Fe. Their work was heavily influenced by the Native American jewelers that worked with them. These beautiful clip back sterling and turquoise earrings feature a striking Modernist design with great stones. They measure 1"by1" and weigh 16 grams total. They are in fine original condition and signed as shown. Love the look !

Wonderful post modern hand made sterling and gold ring by Novak, c. 1970's. Of very large dimension, the design shows a soaring bird with a gold head flying high above the band. The gold is directly soldered to the silver. The wing span measures 1 7/8" wide and stands 1" above the band and is size 8 1/4. A nice quality pin with a graceful design, set with a dyed blue chalcedony. It is American, with a maker’s mark of conjoined JM for Joseph Masaniello, a New York jewelry artisan who worked during the 1940s and 1950s, and was a friend and contemporary of Carl Ruopoli. The pin is formed as stylized calla lilies and leaves, with vine-like curls. It’s a substantial piece and measures 2 3/4 inches long by 1 1/8 inches wide. Gross weight: 15.8 grams

This Pendant measures 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 1/4". It has a Mod Geo Design, accented by its central, dangling "ball." The bail is marked TAXCO MEXICO with FNM in the middle. It also has the Taxco eagle mark with the # 2 in the middle. It has good heft and is in excellent condition.

Being offered is a circa 1967 .970 silver (better than sterling) necklace by Antonio Pineda of Taxco, Mexico, comprising geometric heavy gauge links creating levels of silver with onyx cabochons; tongue & box clasp. This dramatic disk pin features a hammered surface decorated with applied wire in a stylized floral design. A framed dome graces the center and four applied beads enhance the edges of the wire work design. It has a secure trombone clasp and brass pin stem, both original to the piece. This "dainty," sterling silver bracelet has a classic mod design from The Studio era. The front is 3/8" wide then tapers down to 1/4" and then tapers back up to 3/8". This very early Matl / Matilde Poulat pendant is a rare find. Dating 1930's - 1940, this pendant is studded with turquoise and branch coral, with gorgeous birds and kneeling angels holding turquoise tipped candles. Measures just over 3" from top of bail to bottom, width is 2". A nice heft at 28.5 grams. Signed and hallmarked "MATL 0.980". Collector quality.

A pair of vintage sterling silver heart shaped earrings by Peggy Ackerly, (1921-2011), who apprenticed with Sam Kramer from 1943-64. Ackerly helped design and execute many of Kramer's most iconic pieces. These earrings are post 1968, when she began using the conjoined MA mark for Margaret Ackerly.

Carved Shell Cameo set in a silver frame with a gold colored rope twist accent. The frame is marked only 800 in an oval and is most likely Italian. The carving is excellent, with highlights of different colors left in the hair. The frame has a pin closure and a moveable bail so it can be worn as a pin or a pendant. The profile of the woman and mark on the frame suggests Victorian era of 1875 - 1880's. Condition is excellent.

This early vintage Antonio Pineda 970 Silver bracelet features thick sculpted links set with uniquely cut Amethyst "tubes" witch are set so when the bracelet is closed it appears that the amethyst weave in and out of the silver links. A massive silver ring by Antonio Belgiorno, Buenos Aires, c 1940-50. The geometric design and the use of oxidizing is typical of Belgiorno, who is one of Argentina’s most well known artists in silver. A solid piece of jewelry that really makes a statement. Marked A Belgiorno, Industria Argentina T27 and 900. Open and adjustable, the inner diameter at present 18 mm which corresponds to size 6 ½. Condition: fine.

Dramatically decorated with an embossed and oxidized Celtic design. The inside of the cuff exhibits hammering; it is quite sturdy and has retained its shape. This sturdy, nicely made sterling silver bracelet is composed of incised openwork sections securely linked by small rods. The tongue and groove clasp, with push-button release, is in good working order; the safety chain appears to be original. RARE modernist sterling and rhodochrosite bracelet by Theodor Fahrner, Germany, c.1960's. This famed maker closed shop in the 1970's and produced a very small output of modernist designs. Very early 980 silver FISH clip by William Spratling, Mexico, c.1931. It is signed "WS TAXCO 980" and measures 1 3/4" square and is worn vertically with the fish head facing downwards. When you find a Hector Aguilar with stones and as exceptional as these colorful stones, you have found a rare treasure. This necklace is a bit over one inch tall and has a length of 18inches. The silver is 940 pure giving it a whiter contrast than most other designers using 925 silver. No damage to this necklace as it has been well loved and the condition shows us that.
