It's an iconic bracelet, with gorgeous faceted amethysts and incised stars which are oxidized in the recesses. The amethysts sit high in four pronged settings. Opens wide to easily fit over the wrist and closes with a tight and secure tongue in box clasp. Closed, interior length is 6 3/4", with a 1 3/4" width. Weight is 122.3 grams...

This sterling silver pin is formed as a Mexican peasant lugging a large basket of fruit on his back. It is deeply molded and enhanced with oxidation and of hollow construction. The sturdy clasp features a machine-age look, and the pin stem has a lever that causes it to spring open when released. The pin dates from 1950 through the 1930s and is marked Silver/Mexico on the reverse. It measures 2 inches long by 1 1/4 inches at its widest part. Weight: 12.6 grams

Here is a beautiful early pin by Danecraft. It has a diameter of 1 1/2". It has an open circle, decorative border, surmounted by a lovely, single flower with repousse leaves and petals. The back is marked DANECRAFT REG. U.S. PAT. OFF STERLING. Unlike later pieces, this very well crafted older piece has decent weight to it. It's in excellent condition.

A vintage modernist sterling silver bracelet by Taxco artisan, Erika Hult de Corral in a zig zag pattern. Marked Ric, Taxco SA, Sterling, Hecho en Mexico, Eagle #3 and 925. Measures 6 7/8" around and 2 1/4" at the highest. Has some very minor surface scratches. Clasp snaps securely. There is a safety hook for extra security. Nice weight, heavy and solid. This rare vintage sterling silver and sodalite necklace and earrings was designed and signed c. 1950's by Taxco, Mexico modernist designer Antonio Pineda (1919-2009). Comprised of 14 sterling silver bezel set links each holding a deep blue stone veined with pink to cream to gold calcite accents. Necklace measures 15 1/2" wearable length and 5/8" wide. Slide in clasp is tight and secure. Screw back earrings are 1 1/2" long and designed with the same open silver platform backing as the necklace...

This plique a jour pendant is centered with an oval white opal and accented with eight colorless brilliants. The dropper is a fresh water pearl. The translucent enamel is an unusual and lovely blue in color. Plique a jour, that unusual, difficult, and beautiful technique, dates from the 15th century. It was used by Cellini, then revived in the late 1800s in France. The metal frame in this lovely piece is 900 silver, suggesting that the piece is most likely German or Austrian in origin...

How often does one find a ring by renowned Taxco modernist Enrique Ledesma? Let me answer my question - almost never! Over the years of my buying, selling and researching vintage Mexican silver jewelry, I have come upon a few examples, almost all of them adorned with a color-change sapphire. I had never seen a ring in the design I am presenting here until I discovered this one some time ago...

This delicate bracelet is decorated with sterling silver openwork floral panels that feature rectangular light blue aquamarines in bezel mounts. Each panel is connected by a ribbed link. The spring-ring clasp is original to the piece and in good working order. The bracelet is from the 1950s; it is unmarked, but tests as sterling. It measures 7 ½ inches in length.
