Jasper ware, invented and introduced by Josiah W in the late 18th century, was a success in the neoclassical period around 1800.The extremely finely moulded white ornaments are fixed to unglazed blue stoneware to create a carved cameo effect. The bead is Georgian, from the last years of the 18th century, whereas the silver gilt chain is later, c 1900. A very fine, large vintage silver knifewing pin with multi stone inlay of spiny oyster, turquoise, jet and mother of pearl, circa 1940. Knifewing represents the Zuni god of war. This symbol was worn by warriors to protect them in battle, but also represents courage, honor, wisdom and strength. The pin measures 3 1/8" by 2 3/4" and weighs 35 grams. It is in fine original condition. The stones are free of chips or cracks. A beautiful example of vintage Zuni lapidary work.

A vintage pair of three dimensional sterling silver pierced earrings, each formed from a single bent and flattened sterling wire with a pearl accent by modernist jeweler, Russell Secrest, (1935-2010).

An extraordinary hammered sterling silver rigid bracelet from Finland with seven cushion cut cabochons of various colors.

Measures 7" around and 1 5/8" high. Has a wonderful warm dark patina that shows off the lightly hammered finish. Stones are in varying shades of purple, (amethyst), tiger's eye, dark blue, and pale yellow. A striking, large, heavy sterling and turquoise pin by Navajo silversmith George Kee, made during his time working at the White Hogan Shop in Scottsdale, Az. Measuring 2 5/8" by 1 5/8" it weighs 27 grams and is in fine original condition with no chips or cracks to the center stone. Signed as shown. A wonderful compliment to any sweater, blazer or coat.
