A vintage sterling silver orchid brooch by Hector Aguilar.

Signed with the conjoined HA, Taxco and 940 for better than sterling silver. Pre Eagle, (pre 1949).

Measures 2 1/4" across and 2" high. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. The brooch has a beautiful, warm patina.

Classic Aguilar design.

A thin bangle with textured surface is set with four faceted natural rubies. They are bezel mounted with open backs, securely soldered to the bangle. The rubies are highly included and probably untreated; one has slight surface abrasions. The bangle has a 2 ½-inch internal diameter, and an inner circumference of about 8 inches. Each setting measures about ½ inch by 3/8 inch. The bangle is 1/16 inch wide. It is marked 925 for sterling silver.

Three sections are faces carved in green onyx while the other three are half round green onyx pieces strapped with sterling silver. The width of the bracelet at the widest part is 1 ½” while the length is 7 ½”.

A vintage 830 silver storyteller bracelet by David Andersen, Norway. Made up of alternating panels with what looks like a large lizard and a person on horseback yielding a sword and shield. There is some oxidation to the background for a contrasting effect.

Measures 7 1/4" long and just under an inch wide. Signed with the scales mark and 830S for the silver content on the back of the clasp.

A very well crafted pair of sterling silver earrings and matching pendant, each with a prong set rose quartz stone. We especially like how the prongs are formed from folding pieces of the main parts. This lovely bracelet is decorated with white guilloché enameled rectangular panels alternating with similar square ones featuring dark blue flowers. The silver is highly gilded; the tongue-and-groove clasp is original and in good working order. The bracelet bears the mark of Norwegian maker David-Andersen. A forged wire pendant composed of drops of various lengths is attached to a chain of shorter, peaked forged bars linked by securely soldered rings. The necklace has a nice heft, but it quite comfortable. The back bears the circular impressed Mexican silver mark with central maker’s initials of possibly OBC, and the eagle 1 mark. The necklace measures 19 inches long unclasped; the pendant drops 4 ¼ inches. Weight: 56.1 grams

This Victorian Scottish flush fitting agate panel brooch is 1 1/2" in diameter. There are no hallmarks which is fairly normal for brooches of this period.

The stones are orange Campsie Fells jasper, green and red bloodstone from the Isle of rum, deep red carnelian agate from Glenfarg in Perthshire. Fantastic workmanship! C clasp is in good working condition.

A reticulated sterling silver pendant of geometric elements and elongated bale, suspended from an .830 silver chain. Both bear the marks of H.C. Østrem of Drammen; it's very unusual to find a pendant by this maker with its original chain. The script maker's mark also is not often seen. This Reja brooch is sterling with no vermeil and with rhinestones. Reja sterling pieces with large stones in the center can be dated to 1945-1946. The stones were produced by the Oval Company. This tree frog is 2.5" x 1 3/8". It is in excellent vintage condition except it needs polishing.

I love the old hand made flies. They are so realistic and these are in 2 sizes. One is 1.75in. long and 1.25in. wide. This one is a pre-1948 980 TAXCO hallmark and weighs 6 grams heavy. Vintage Georg Jensen Denmark Art Nouveau sterling and moonstone earrings. These have screw backs but could be converted for pierced ears without loss of hallmarks. This ring made by Miguel Martinez is such a striking creative piece of seeing a stone an letting the rock speak. The band flows from underneath to the front to hold in the stone. The dimensions are 12.4 grams heavy and a size 8.5 which can be sized. The face is 1.25in. long and .75in. wide. This is an early piece of Miguels work and he became the principle designer of Rancho Allegre. Properly hallmarked as show. Fabulous and daring piece.

This very Victorian grooming chatelaine is from the 1800s. It has a Chinese fish motif at the top, and dangling from that are 3 implements: a tweezers, one for cleaning nails, and an ear-cleaning device. (We saw a similar chatelaine on eBay, and the ear-cleaning implement was advertised as a device for opium users, but we don’t think so! However, as non-opium users, we could be wrong ….) It is unmarked but tests positive for silver, and with a patina consistent with age. It is lacking a belt...
