The size of Oil painting: 15 3/4" W x 19 5/8" H. This is another unique Oil painting on Daler Board for Oil painting which has already with canvas texture as you can see from out close up photo. The painting done by Zeka Marquez back in 1980-85's when he was young man. This is one of painting I have acquired in 1991. It is painted with Red, Grey and black, plus white painted area.
The condition of painting excellent...

A large oil on canvas, 36" by 24" (44" by 32" framed), the subject a number of circus clowns, skillfully painted, signed at lower right by noted American clown artist ROBERT OWEN (1930-). Owen was born in Polk County, Missouri. For many years he has been recognized as a master at painting clowns. Reproduction prints have been made from many paintings. This example is in excellent condition. Note also the interesting framing.
Oil on board, likely Canadian painting of a curling scene on a large ice rink with a large number of spectators and players, painted very competently in a very charming folk-art style, signed at lower right "S. S. Heath" and dated there 1973. The work reminds a bit of the whimsical folky Canadian paintings of Allen Sapp or William Kurelek. Suprisingly, I see absolutely no information or auction record for any artist of this name. The work measures 16" by 20" and 20" by 24" as framed...
Hey, very unusual in modern royal portrait of Abraham Lincoln done circa 1970 from a student of Cornell University. The work on canvas measures 20 x 16” unsigned.
This is rare group in the 23 Color Transparency of Leonor Fini's works. I have acquired in 1997, 21 years ago
at Dallas auction house. I never offered before until now.
The following number showing the subject of each transparency. Please note these are scanned from
Our printer so the quality of each transparency may not showing clear as itself but give you what they looks like. The group of Transparency came from Gelerie Lambert Monet of Geneve, Switzerland dated from between 1970-1980...
Colorful, heavily impressionistic acrylic painting with palette knife, the subject beached wooden boats in a sunny Mediterranean coastal landscape, signed at lower left by listed French artist PIERRE MAS (1933-). The work measures 11 1/4" by 27" as framed. Mas used copious amounts of wet-looking, lush paint, creating an interesting surface and texture. Colors are very complementary and harmonious, the turquoise particularly pleasing...
A beautiful framed original watercolor by an Egyptian artist depicting two camels in the desert measuring 4x7.5” on Arches paper
English or Scottish oil on canvas, (or, possibly a continental Europe scene executed by a British artist), 20" by 30" (26" by 36" as framed), signed at lower right "David Dundas", showing a peaceful high mountain lake with distant snowy mountains. I do not see a listing for the artist but the painting has a professional touch and is very decorative and satisfying. Note the reflections, the sky/high clouds, lighting, composition...
Jake Lee's works are increasingly sought after by collectors in the wake of his relatively recent passing, some works approaching $20,000 at auctions. This is a clean, unusually large (24" by 36" plus 4" on a side framing) example, painted directly on board in heavy gouache or tempera (thinned oil?) and in excellent condition. See the net for more images of his paintings, which include California landscapes, as well as overseas exotic images executed in the course of his travels...
Thinned oil or possibly water-based casein/tempera on small board painting, 7 1/4" by 5 1/4" framed, signed at lower right by noted American artist Carol Jablonsky (1939-1992). The image is of a young female child, I believe of Native American or Mexican heritage. Jablonsky died at a young age but left behind a large body of work, including prints and original paintings...
Oil on canvas, 17" by 9" and thin original wood frame, signed lower left "M Stuart", depicting a young woman in greenish gray paint. This is more a work of figural art, really, than mere portrait. The sitter is unknown, as is the artist; there is a listing for a Mimi Stuart (1959-) but I am not convinced this is by that artist. Signature looks as if it could be by a British hand, judging from the style of writing. It is a professional signature, though, and this is not a work by an amateur...
A nicely executed watercolor painting of a Mediterranean or Spanish style courtyard, the stuccoed white buildings with red tile roofs and grills on windows. Apparently unsigned, the work measures 10" by 13 1/4" (18" by 21 1/4" in circa 1960's or 1970's frame). This could be a scene of Spain, Central or South America, or, even, Southern California. Condition is excellent.
Twentieth century oil on canvas painting of a young woman, 21 1/2" by 18" (29" by 25" framed), signed at lower right somewhat indecipherably "Cintellys".The difficult to decipher signature is of listed artist ANNE CINTELLYS. I do not see a biography on line, but several paintings, including one of a young woman at a race track, and another of an exotic dancer, have appeared at auction in Germany and France in the past 15 years...
The Lucien Crump Art Gallery and Education Center closed its doors for the final time Friday after 40 years of serving Philadelphia as the first to feature works by African-American artists. The gallery’s namesake, who had a long career as an artist and educator, passed away at age 71 in 2006. In the last days of the gallery’s opening, an announcement of the change caused neighbors and art lovers alike to pause and share their memories. “Since people have seen the closing sign in the windo...
American Artist Stepanova was a still life painter who painted in a modernist style. Russian born during the Soviet period and later moved to the United States studying art in New York. This work is oil on canvas measuring 24” x 20” and is framed.
Small oil on canvas laid on board painting of a street scene in Paris, the work somewhat resembling the familiar paintings of A. de Vity. It measures 15" by 11" framed and is not signed. Paintings of Paris streets are ever-popular. A ballpoint pen date on the reverse backing paper (3/24/72) gives some insight into when this painting was created. See other Parisian views in my shop.
