This is a fantastic oil on Masonite painting of Columbus landing at the Indian Islands. This painting is signed and dated 1921 by artist Frank Herbert Zeitler of Germany. Zeitler was born in Germany in 1874 and died in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on July 30, 1940. Contemporary pastel portrait of a contemplative young brunette, 19" by 14 1/2" (25" by 20 1/2" in gold framing), signed at lower left with what appears as "Fredric Golds" (or, "Goldstein", or "Goldey" or similar). Carl Moll, Austrian,1861-1945. This stunning landscape is a study in impressionist color and light and dark. It is an oil on canvas, signed lower right. It is 15 5/8" by 19 5/8" in a handsome newer gold frame with overall dimensions of 26 5/8" by 29 5/8". Moll is a master of light and dark and the use of impressionist brushstrokes to convey the impact of the intensity of color at dusk. He is listed in Benezit and sells for up to $304,000. He was a member of the Worpswede group...

An American miniature portrait painting, on natural organic material, of a very attractive boy with gray-blue eyes, wearing a red velvet jacket. The painting is 2 3/4" by 2 1/4" and is in excellent condition.

A fine, interesting mixed media (watercolor/white gouache) drawing, 10 1/4" by 12 1/2", (13 3/4" by 16 3/4" framed) titled on reverse "Old House and Horse", signed in pencil lower right by well-known, well listed American artist JOHN GRABACH (1886-1981). An old framer's label from Newark, NJ remains on the backing. Grabach grew up in Newark, New Jersey, progressing over the years with his art until he came to be a leader of the Newark School...

Signed at lower left "Albert L. Fischer", this is an unframed, sizable oil on canvas (46" by 27"), the scene almost mural-like: an apparently Italian lake (see the gondolier at right), framed by blooming wisteria dripping off a trellis at top and climbing a lattice at bottom, several boats plying the calm lake waters. I don't see a listing for the artist...

Measuring 24x62” in total. The center panel measures 24 x 31“ and the side panels on both left and right measure approximately 15.5 inches

Oil on canvas painting of a street scene, presumably in Israel, 16" by 11 1/4" framed, signed at lower left "Moshe M.". This does not appear to be by Moshe Mokady, the best known artist with whom that name corresponds closely. Nevertheless it is a competently handled work in excellent condition.

A charming pastel signed M. Gibert Paris. Framed, there is a title that is obscured by the mat on the left side. The gilt frame is chipped, the picture is fine. The frame measures 18" x 15-7/8".

For the Judaica or Jewish art collector, a SET OF THREE original pastel on paper drawings, all signed in Hebrew and dated 1987 or 1989, all 13 1/4" by 9" (18 3/4" by 13 1/2" as framed), the subjects various ancient buildings in, I would imagine, Jerusalem or another historical city of Israel. I am unable to read Hebrew but a friend thought the signature was "M. Schnase" or something like that...
