These were found in Southern California and the scenes may well be Californian. There are a number of artists by the name McKee so it is difficult to determine who may have created these...

Rare and Sublime Painted Porcelain Vase by Korean Buddhist Monk Su An Sunim (born 1940) depicting children. It has a warm, creamy slip-painted surface. This is the only ceramic art by Su An Sunim we have ever seen offered for sale. The recent exhibition of Su An Sunim's paintings at the Zen Buddhist Temple in New York City was the most highly-attended exhibition ever presented by the Korean Art Society...

It measures 8.5" by 29" in its slender custom brass frame. It is signed Hennessy l.r and dated 75. It is also signed, dated (21 July 75), and titled "The Cave of Ali Baba" on the reverse. Hennessy is an abstract painter active in New York who has been a participant in the resurgence of Abstraction in the last few decades...

Oil on rough weave canvas scene of figures in a hazy landscape, 15" by 30" (20" by 35" framed), signed at lower right by English-born artist who later came to be more closely associated with Ireland, ANTHONY "TONY" KLITZ (1917-2000). This work, dating to 1975 as we see from a reverse copyright stamp of the artist, is rather typical of the artist's style...

Oil on canvas laid on board portrait painting of a young girl in a fine blue dress with lacy edge, circa 1875 (possibly, earlier?), apparently unsigned, I feel likely American or perhaps French origin; hard to say. The antique work, 40" by 19 1/2" (45" by 25 1/2" framed) has a folky ambience to it, in the American east coast tradition, but I suppose we should not eliminate its being of European origin...

These appear to be possibly scenes of Mexico or even Spain (the artist studied in Europe) by listed American artist ALBERT LOREY GROLL (1866-1952)...

This is a beautiful work by a well listed painter who was born in Russia and spent much time in the Pittsburgh area, as well as New York, before settling in Southern California later in life. Shulgold's biography tells of stints as a watchmaker and worker in a bottling plant, before yielding to the desire to create art...

The painting is titled on old reverse label "Lighthouse at Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia". The circa 1950's label is from The Little Gallery, Jupiter Inlet Beach Colony, Jupiter Island, Florida. Lane was born in Bristol, England and emigrated to Canada with his family when he was sixteen...
