Pencil signed limited edition print "Watering Hole", circa 1970's, by the important Western American artist OLAF WIEGHORST (1899-1988). The print measures 21" by 26" and 30" by 35" framed in grayish wood. It is numbered 364/1500 at lower left margin and the artist has signed it in soft pencil at lower right. Wieghorst's works sell at major auctions of western American art, into the hundreds of thousands. Rumor has it that his "Navajo Madonna" masterpiece sold privately for $1.5 million...

5.75 x 8.5 in. ai in Japanese The white background is punctuated by a yellow sun and a red splash --true Maki style. Frame 5 shows Sanae’s careful translation and explanation of this print – and her intuition as to what Maki-san may have meant when he created this image 41 years ago. An original pencil signed, numbered (115/135) lithograph of 1972, "Les hommes arrivent du fond de leur passe", 19 1/2" by 26" inside the mat, (28" by 34 1/2" framed), the subject of great interest to collectors of Judaica and Jewish art. Reminiscent of the best work of Marc Chagall, the imagery features a rabbi or holy scholar blowing on the symbolic shofar, or ram's horn, while a Chagallesque figure looks on at lower left. Condition appears to be excellent; not examined out of frame...

Big Green shows 4 moving figures.A similar image is in the US in the kas frane but it is 3 moving figures. I think these were not frequent uses for Maki Poem 71-84

The print, 15" by 11 3/4" inside the mat, 23" by 19" as framed, is in excellent condition; evidently it was framed and presented in Chicago in 1974 to a gentleman presented with the Humanitarian Award by The American Jewish Committee...

Poem 71-76 is a yellow-gold print with a bit of a paisley influence. It is number 28 of an edition of 154. Created in 1971, it measures 13in wide x 19.5in high. It is in very good condition. There is tape residue on the back but the front is perfect. .

HESTON (1923-2018) was for 64 years the wife of the famous American actor, but was an independent woman who carved her own path despite being in the shadow of one of America's most famous faces of the 20th century...

This is an exceptionally fresh example of the 1969 print "Summer", approximately 18" by 24" (25" by 32" framed) by the famous modern artist ALEXANDER CALDER (1898-1969).
