This etching created in 1859 is impression II/II before the plate was damaged. It came to us with the original Kappel label on the back. A Hand Colored Botanical Print Portraying Gladiolas. The Artist is the Victorian Jane Webb Loudon (1807-1858), and the Print is from the book “The Ladies Flower Garden of Ornamental Bulbous Plants” (plate 12), published in 1841 by Day and Haghe London, Lithographer to Queen Victoria. The print is triple matted and elegantly framed. Dimensions; 19.5" x 18". Excellent condition. See also item number 601985 (1542B).

Dendy Sadler Etching Battle of Trafalgar Veterans or Nelson’s Crew is a work done for the centennial of the October 1805 battle of Trafalgar. Original 19th century albumen photograph by Jean-Pascal Sebah (1872-1947) depicting the old Cairo and the island of Rhoda (the photograph is titled in the plate l.l "Vieux Caire et Ile de Rowdah"). Signed in the plate l.r. Jean-Pascal Sebah was the son of Pascal Sebah (1823-1886). He continued the family studio in 1888 in Constantinople. The studio specialized in scenes of Egypt and the Middle East.

Sir Francis Seymour Haden 1818-1910 British This is an original pencil signed mezzotint by British artist Sir Francis Seymour Haden. The title is: Breaking up of the Agamemnon No. II. This mezzotint was created in 1880, one of his most popular images, like the earlier etched impression done 10 years earlier in just etched lines. This image is made up of tone as well as lines in the composition.....
