Etching on paper, the sheet 6 3/4" by 9", 12 1/4" by 14 1/2" framed, the subject a group of children floating playfully on a makeshift raft, pencil signed at lower right by noted English artist and illustrator, author and poet EILEEN SOPER (1905-1990). The work is titled, I believe, "Voyage of Discovery". Eileen was the daughter of artist George Soper. By 1920 she had submitted work to the Print Makers of California, and it was chosen for exhibition...

Serigraph (silkscreen) print after a painting by the giant of modern art, GEORGES BRAQUE (1882-1963), 9 3/4" by 32" (an impressive 18 1/4" by 41" framed), signed in the print at lower left and dated there 1920. The title, "The Blue Plums", appears in the wide margin below the mat. Braque needs little introduction, as one of the famous names of modern art who in the early years of the century developed, along with his friend Picasso, the Cubism movement, which changed the art world forever...

Original etching on paper watermarked "France" (probably Arches paper), 9 3/4" by 7 7/8" (image only), and the sheet with at least 1 1/8" margins (up to nearly 2" at right), pencil signed at lower right by the noted American printmaker LUIGI LUCIONI (1900-1988). This is no doubt a Vermont landscape scene, as Lucioni's prints largely deal with the classic mountain scenery of that state...

An etching on paper, 7 1/4" by 5 1/4" inside the mat, 12 1/2" by 9 3/4" framed, signed at lower right in pencil by well-known New Orleans artist EUGENE F. LOVING (1908-1971). The print is titled at lower left, "Bourbon Street Patio", and bears the artist's notation "Ed/100" at lower center. Loving was a familiar figure on the New Orleans art scene for decades, painting and executing prints as well. A teacher as well, he was something of a father figure of sorts to other artists in the region...

This is a color aquatint, 9 7/8 by 12 7/8" as framed, the subject a monumental Paris building in the autumn twilight, (the Pantheon, I believe?), numbered at lower left 248 of 500 and signed at lower right in pencil by the noted French 20th century impressionist painter CHARLES BLONDIN (1913-1991). Blondin was active in Paris in the post war years, painting and creating editions of prints which he numbered and hand signed. This example has not been examined outside the frame...

I offer this work on paper, 19" by 25" inside the mat, 26 1/2" by 33" framed in simple black frame (to be shipped without glass), as a print of some kind by the important Swiss modern artist HANS ERNI (1909-2015). Signed in the plate at lower right and dated there "60", this would appear to be a monotype, or possibly a lithograph, with hand coloring added. Several examples are to be seen in the auction record, and they are I believe mistakenly described as gouache, original, unique works...

A very fine mid 20th century neo-impressionist silk screen print of a small village scene, possibly European. The print is an artist proof signed d fritz - we believe, but could be d frity. The foreground tree is spectacular. Condition is very good but is faded somewhat and has a tear in the margin which we hope to fix before selling. Dimension: 29" x 21" sheet

This is a beautifully executed work , showing the artist's skill in draftsmanship and the graphic arts. Like many of his works, this image is suggestively erotic in nature...

By the hand of the noted American illustrator, sporting artist and printmaker CHURCHILL ETTINGER (1903-1984) is this pencil signed etching titled at lower left "Sunrise" the subject two Canada Geese rising from the water. The print measures 5 1/2" by 7 1/2" inside the innermost mat and 12 1/2" by 14" as framed in oak. Ettinger was born in New Jersey and died in Vermont in the 1980's...

Original engraving, deep etching, salt ground, and drypoint on copper by Wendell H. Black (American, 1919-1972), first edition printed posthumously by Berkley Chappell. In excellent condition. 17 1/2 by 23 5/8 image alone. Titled and marked a/p in pencil l.l. Also signed "Wendell Black '56 by Elaine" l.r. Also inscribed bottom right of the sheet "Berk Chappell-IMP".
