A French Poster that belonged to the actress Greer Garson. This was lent to the College of Santa Fe for exhibition when Garson appeared in the production of Madwoman of Chaillot. On the back Garson has written the information, shown in photo. Measures about 16 1/2" by 23 3/4", frame overall about 17 1/2" by 24 3/4". Appears to be attached to backing. Nice Art Nouveau Style and interesting provenance.

These are 3 different “takes” of the kanji for Stone.
Red is Work 74-58 (Stone) ; Green is 76-56 (Stone);
Blue is 76-54 (Stone).
The green one is larger than the other two. All have the striking black sun as one stroke of the kanji.
The third part of Note 10 looks at the prints Maki probably did in the 1969 to 1975 period but that, at the time of Dan Tretiak's writing this, had not yet come to light.
Pencil signed by the artist at lower right and numbered 418/975 at lower left, is this contemporary offset color print, 18 3/8" by 15" inside the mat, 22" by 18 1/2" framed, the subject a poetic one of mother and daughter reading an illustrated book while snuggled together in a bed with a colorful duvet. Attractive old antique print titled "Public landing. Cincinnati", identified by writing on backing as having come from Ballou's Pictorial Companion, 1855. measuring 11" by 15" in its old dark (probably stained walnut) frame with gold fillet. Condition appears fresh and excellent overall. The coloring is hand-applied. An interesting addition to your historic Ohio River or Cincinnati home or office.
