This is a substantial Valentino lucite & gilt metal necklace. It measures 19 3/4" (50.5cm) long from the hook to the last ring in the chain. Each of the orange lucite pieces are 1 3/8" ((4cm) long.. They measure a hair more than 1" (3cm) across the top and 1 5/8" (4.5cm) at the bottom. They are about 1/4" (.6cm) thick. The gilt metal spacers are separated from each lucite piece by a gold bead.. From our Indian Subcontinent Collection, a superbly carved sandalwood buddha from the city of Jasailmer in the Rajasthan region of India. This buddha sits in padmasana (interlocking lotus position) upon a double lotus base while displaying vitarka mudra with the right hand, and holding what is probably a kalasa pot in the left hand.

Very dramatic 1980s goldtone metal mounted wood necklace with a large detailed dimensional head of a leopard, hanging from a heavy double strand of dark red silk cord. Marked DOMINIQUE AURIENTIS PARIS. The leopard head element is based on 16th century Benin bronze leopard head masks which were worn as waist or hip ornaments.
