Fantastic item here. from The The Tinplate Decorating Company... this is from 1893. The bottom section of the box contains two concentric circles, the outer of which contains ten round counters, each marked with the name of the boys: Sambo, Hank, Pete, Huck, Gabe, Pomp, Lige, Snow, Caesar, and Mose. Intricately and beautifully decorated with a Taotie Mask, Deer, Tigers, a Phoenix and a Dragon on one side, while the other has detailed scrolling, foliage and a copper buckle for attaching. Antique 19th century Chinese or Vietnamese polearm trident halberd, spear, of a rare pattern. The head is hand-forged from a single piece of steel composed three blades; each blade is single-edged, tapering like a dagger's edge, and is triangular in cross-section.

The blades appear from a short tang, split into three branches, forming a trident blade. The branches are decorated with punched designs.

These types of Tridents of identical form were used in China and Vietnam...

Antique first half of the 19th century (Bourbon Restoration Period 1814-1830) French heavy cavalry (CUIRASSIER) breastplate armor (cuirass). The breastplate is formed of thick, heavy gauge steel with a projecting medial ridge forward over the down-turned basal flange and angular outward turns at the neck and arms openings.
