Extra-large German Dresden-type papier-mache Easter egg candy container. The chromolithographed paper covering shows a wonderful assortment of roosters, hens, chicks, and of course, Easter rabbits. This is undoubtedly the largest Easter Egg candy container we've seen. The interior is lined with the traditional star patterned paper and the rims have a Dresden border. This terrific little German composition candy container, circa 1920's, was made for Abraham Lincoln's birthday--representing the famous frontier log cabin in which he was born. I've never seen this container before and it's in terrific condition. The bottom is marked "Germany." 2-1/8 long; 1-1/2" deep; 1-9/16" tall. Excellent condition.

With its Lincoln's Birthday theme, this would be a terrific addition to your patriotic holiday collection!

A delightful child’s spinning top made of tin with a lithographed scene of an animal parade. A monkey leads a band of a clarinet-playing pig, a sousaphone-playing cat, a trumpet-playing dog, and a drum-playing donkey. The animals appear against a brightly colored striped background. The side is lithographed with Wyandotte’s trademark.

A pastel and watercolor on paper drawing of a Native American Indian, unframed, 30" by 20", signed at lower right by the artist, the signature appearing as "F. Davis", and the adjacent date as 3/84. The artist was talented. Condition is good, lower left corner is separating from the Crescent art board backing, there having been some slight moisture exposure there at some time in the past.

An Antiko Hildesheimer Rose 800 silver dessert or cake set in a fitted case box from the 1940s or 1950s. This ornate and attractive set was made by Kohlbecker Silberwarenfabrik of Pforzheim, Germany (1946-). Some sources say the "ANTIKO" trade name was used from 1959. This ornate set consists of six 4-3/4" cake forks in 800 silver as well as a matching 8-1/8" silver plated pie or cake lifter marked ANTIKO 90...

A group of 4 hand carved bone sewing implements circa 1890-1900. All have drilled holes, lined borders and carved designs and the pieces include the 1-3/8 x 1-1/4" sewing clamp (small crack, carved end plug (replaced?)), the 2-5/8" needle case, the 1-1/8" tall thimble case (thin crack, glued wider crack, no lid) and the 7/8" tall thread case with hole in the top. All are unsigned and they are probably Asian...
