Glittering black glass microbeaded box bag with a tortoise Lucite top and dark brass hardware, and heavy black glass beaded handle. Black satin lining and snap close. 1940s. These bags are fabulous headturners. 7 1/2 inches wide, 5 inches long and 3 1/2 inches deep. The handle drop is 5 1/2 inches. Overall excellent condition. No losses to beaded exterior. There is a very very faint hairline in the Lucite at the clasp, not visible at a short distance...

Big statement making fabulous vintage 1940s round box bag beaded in brilliant glittering iridescent peacock blue vitrail glass micro beads, with a soft flexible beaded strap. The beads are very high quality and are cut on every side. The beading is softly ruched or gathered around the sides of the bag. The top lifts off and has a mirror inside. A scarce 4-1/4" vintage late 1930s-mid 1940s Mary Grayo stoppered glass fur perfume bottle with the original label. This company was in business in Monte Carlo for a very short time, from the late 1930s to the mid-1940s. The label has losses but the Mary Grayo name is mostly quite legible; the bottle is molded with a 45 on the bottom. It has remnants of the original perfume, which must have smelled wonderful in its day...

Not quite sure how long this one will last, it still has all it's contents and unopened, however there is fair bit of wear, see pics and a few dents and eventually it may well open, so needs a final resting place and sit in someone's display cabinet!!!

Nicely made piece, I am presuming here that this is for some kind of incense, there is a hole at the side of the head where you would put your incense and smoke would then come out of the eyes... There are a couple of chops to the paint on the base, please see photos
