A fine agate snuff bottle of large size the sides carved in relief with various birds on prunus branches. The bottle is very well-hollowed and weighs only 97 grams without the stopper. The foot and mouth both slightly concave. The stopper is grey smoky agate, the spoon is bone. The bottle is fairly large and might have been used as a table bottle. 20th century.

Pre Columbian style Tiahuanaco Bolivian or Peruvian Terracotta face pot with incised geometric decorated hat-spout. The piece came from LA auction possibly from Tiahuanaco. No damage size H 4.25" W 2.75" The clay has gold like flecks throughout the entire surface bus would not photograph. Period and age is unknown priced accordingly .

A late 20th century oil on canvas painting, the scene a classic, arid, Southwest landscape, with two Native American New Mexico pottery ceramic bowls in the foreground. The work, 24" by 30", is signed at lower right "Monso". The artist, interestingly, painted in a border roughly 2 1/2" on a side, outside the actual landscape imagery. Condition is generally very good, I note a very small puncture in that border area at lower left, which is easy to overlook and which could be easily remedied...
A pair of "Ashimoto andon (foot lantern) made of cedar board, bamboo and washi (Japanese hand-made paper). The paper is replaced from shoji-gami (white paper for paper screen) to recycled washi which was a record book of a merchant in late Edo period. Washi is made from paper mulberry bark and very strong. With a carton box for a pair. 20th century. In excellent condition. 18cm x 18cm x 47cm (with a handle).

This is a heavy-for-its size (about six pounds) sculpture in a heavy, dark wood like mahogany (ironwood?), measuring about 10" high by about 5" on a side. In addition to the dark heavy wood, there are carved teeth of bone, and carefully applied white paint detail in the eyes. Carved into the base are the words "Ngambela Mataa". I have googled the term and it seems to be applied to a figure who was in Zambia in the late 19th century to as late as 1928, when there was some murder there...
A contemporary hand carved stylized animal of Northwest Coast legend, probably a bear, beaver or badger or similar, 7 1/2" by 4 1/2" by 2 1/2", signed on reverse by the artist; the name appears as "Who Two Tookh" though I am likely misreading the first words.
