A PAIR of original glossy black and white photos of actors HURD HATFIELD (1917-1998) and GENE NELSON (1920-1996), circa 1940's, both autographed and inscribed to an as yet unidentified "Wilson", which is the principal reason why I have decided to sell them together (they are also identical sizes and identically framed and matted). Wynn was an American actor and comedian who started in Vaudeville in 1903 and moved on to the Ziegfeld Follies in 1914...

Offered is a vintage orange-colored knit tunic such as would be worn by Star Trek series star William Shatner, along with a hand signed photo of him. Acquired in New England, I had investigated the possibility of this being a show-worn artifact, which would have been worth perhaps $10,000 in the open market for entertainment memorabilia...

Circa early to mid 1960's image of actress Joanne Woodward (1930-), hand signed and inscribed "To Tom Best Wishes Joanne Woodward" in blue marker. The photo (7 1/2" by 9 1/2", 10 1/2" by 12" in simulated wood frame) is I believe a reprint of a sixties image of the actress in her prime, and signed at a later date. Woodward of course was married for fifty years to actor Paul Newman, with whom she appeared in ten films, and with whom she collaborated on many others...

A superb late Victorian tortoiseshell celluloid hair backcomb with an opulent paste laden wings design c1890-1900. This hair accessory measures 5-1/4" x 3", and the white paste claw-set stones are mounted within gold plated wirework; this unsigned beauty is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a bit of loss to the worework gilding, and all teeth of the comb are intact. Measuring 5 3/4 inches high x 4 1/4 inches wide x 2 3/4 inches deep, this darling salesman's sample case advertises the Wholesale Grocers, Loverin and Browne Company. This Chicago, Illinois, company established business in 1872.

This diminutive tin case is painted black with gold accenting and gold lettering present on the front of the case. The black paint shows reasonable wear given its 130+ years of age with the majority of wear evident along seam lines and at the base...

From the Sunday December 10, 1899 New York Herald is an advertisement for RIPANS tablues, an over the counter remedy for a litany of ailments. Its founder was George Rowell who was an advertising trailblazer in the brokerage business...

Measuring 15.75 inches long by 4 inches in height, this metal, circa 1930s, brown and yellow, French advertising sign reads:

"Defense de Fumer..sans Microphosphate Schloesing."

Translated to English, it literally means "No Smoking without Schloesing Microphosphate", clearly an advertisement for a chemical product made by the Schloesing Company.

Certainly a conversation piece in very good condition with the expected mild and non-substantial wear with minor rust here and there to the pain...

Amazing drop clip earrings with enormous teardrop shaped watermelon glass stones, enormous faceted glass beads with vitrail finish, and rondelles with brilliant pink and aqua rhinestones.
