The jacket is quite worn, the paste down has some tanning and the title page has foxing otherwise the book is in nice,tight condition. An excellent resource.

Written by Esther Stevens Brazer, this is a Memorial (Second) Edition published in 1947 by the Pond-Ekberg Company. The gray linen boards show some wear with creases at the corners, and the gilt pastedown label is smudged. The front free paper is clipped and the pages are uncut. Sold together, an author-inscribed copy of the April 1965 edition of Pearl Buck's original 1931 masterpiece novel, THE GOOD EARTH, along with a typed letter from the Pearl S. Buck Foundation, dated September 28, 1971, signed by Buck. The letter and book, acquired together, are inscribed to a Mr. and Mrs. F. Allen Lucy of Pennsylvania.
