Lumiere Collection From the extensive collection of chamber sticks and chamber lamps acquired over a forty year period by Peter Macdonald. This candle holder is a nautilus form faience candle holder from Malicorne-sur-Sarthe, France, a town in the region of Pays de la Loire famous for its decorative ceramics and stoneware. A rival and complement to the nearby Quimper factory, many of the designs are similar in form. This piece is likely from the early to mid-20th century.

This fine china is the American Franciscan Ivy pattern. The dinner plate is 10 3/8" in diameter, embossed, and hand-painted under glaze. It was made by the Gladding, McBean & Company circa 1948

One dinner plate shows very little crazing and the other shows the crazing in the bottom of the plate. Pictures 2 and 3 show the back stamps for each of these plates. These plates retail for $29.95 each.

A 9" Medicine Hat Pottery mixing bowl. This pair of scarce Medicine Hat Potteries 9" kitchen or mixing bowls consists of one in cobalt blue and the other bright orange. The orange bowl has the stamped Medicine Hat mark and an underglaze 8, the other has just the 8 (the stamp would be invisible on the cobalt)...

This pair of porcelain vases was produced in Germany by Meissen in 1973. They measure 5 1/4 inches high and have a diameter of 3 1/4 inches. They have a rich cobalt blue ground. The reserves on the front of the vases are expertly hand painted. The sprays of brightly colored flowers are framed in elaborate gilded cartouches. There are other gilded features and trim. They have a graceful shape with pedestal bases and handles. It is lovely to find a matching pair...

A JG Graves Sheffield sterling silver swing-out key pocket watch 1902. This English sterling silver key wind cased pocket watch is by JG Graves of Sheffield, England. Graves (1866-1945) was a watchmaker, entepreneur and benefactor, and this watch is hallmarked for Chester 1902, with the swing-out case having the Graves maker's mark. The watch is 2" across and the works measure 1-9/16" across the plate. They are inscribed J.G. GRAVES SHEFFIELD REVERSING PINION No688375...

These perfume bottles have no marks other than the paper labels which indicate they are Irving W. Rice & Co imports. However, these stoppers were found in an illustration of Irving W. Rice & Co of New York catalog from 1935.

These bottles are in excellent condition. They are 7" tall.

This is a Rikyu doll, one of the Hakata clay doll made in the Fukuoka, Japan. Rikyu (Sen Rikyu) is a 16th century influential tea master who perfected the Cha-no-yu, way of tea. He served two historically powerful figures, Nobunaga (Oda) and Hideyoshi (Toyotomi), and eventually being forced to commit Seppuku by Hideyoshi. Sen Rikyu is a given name by the Emperor. 10 inches tall.

A genuine and vintage 4-3/4" diameter matte glaze small bowl or plant pot by Rookwood. This bowl has the pattern number 2158 and the year cipher for 1920 and it depicts leaping rabbits around the border. It is in a lovely dusty rose colour with green highlights on the decorated upper portion. This item is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, deposits or residue, losses, damage or repairs other than a few rust coloured small rings on the interior...
