A very rare French first standard silver (950/1000 pure silver) tastevin, the bottom bearing the coat of arms of the Confrerie des Chevaliers du Tastevin. The arms depict St. Vincent, patron saint of winemakers. The body is further decorated with the traditional raised “perles” for highlighting the reflections in the wine and recessed “cupules” and elongated “godrons” intended to concentrate the color during the tasting process...

The interior has two divided wells and it is stamped 6542 SHEFFIELD REPRODUCTION with an unidentified Sphinx maker's mark. A sterling & cut glass bonbon or butter basket 1900-1920. This decorative swing-handled serving dish has a cut glass bowl and it is either for candy or butter. This 5-1/4" dish has a swing-up pierced handle and a thick pierced silver mount, which has the mark STERLING as well as an obscured maker's mark; it would make a great bonbon or mint dish. This item is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, dents, monograms, corrosion, repairs or damage...

A lovely set of six sterling silver cocktail picks with rooster finials presented in their original fitted box. Each pick is fully stamped with hallmarks for Birmingham, England and with the maker's mark for Barker Bros Ltd.

A classic Art Deco porcelain water jug advertising Ricard Anisette. In the south of France, tradition dictates that Ricard and other anise-flavored spirits be drunk with a side of water. Makers such as Ricard and Pernod provided advertising pitchers to local bars to increase their sales. This globe form is the classic shape from the first half of the 20th century. The bottom is marked “Ateliers de Céramique Ricard/Made in France”.

From our World Handicrafts Collection (ex-Asia), a very striking and highly unusual vintage silk on cotton kilim style rug, Persia, executed in a bold multi-colored palette of red, gold, purple, blue, rust, green, brown, peach, pink, cream, turquoise and black. It's a legitimate reflex to assume this unusual kilim comes from somewhere in the Caucasus Region, but further research suggests that the lion and double eagles in the center panel are actually Persian motifs de guerre...

This Stueben made art bowl is about 5.5" wide, and about 1.25" tall. It is in mint condition. The color is bluish and blushes to cranberry at the edges.

This handwrought silver box was designed by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling in the 1950's. The box measures 3 1/2" X 2 5/8" and is 1" high & weighs 178 grams. The lid is inlaid with panels of rich brown & yellow shell held in place by sterling silver rivets. The box is in beautiful condition & fully hallmarked. This really nice Wildfire 9 inch diameter small dinner plate was made by Hall China in the 1940s to 1950s. This dinner plate is in very good condition with no chips or cracks.
