A work of studio pottery, found in Southern California, the color a rich earthy brown, the vessel pierced intentionally by the artist to create naturalistic openings, similar to the distinctive style of Peter Voulkos (1924-2002). The piece measures 7 1/2" high by 5" diameter. The piece is signed on the bottom "Balvin 79". Surprisingly I do not see a studio potter by this name, but the artist was obviously talented and also familiar with Voulkos' acclaimed work.

Great miniature Daum Nancy cameo vase with a winter scene. I have had this vase in many shapes and sizes, but never so small. It appears to be much harder to create one this small than a larger one. The vase measures 2 1/2" tall x 1" wide. It is signed, and has no damage, with the exception of some of the original gold worn on the very top.

This is a really nice Fire King Turquoise Blue tea or coffee cup and saucer made by Anchor Hocking Glass. This Turquoise Blue can be hard to find. A Set of Hand Blown Venetian Glass figures (Murano); one a Female Dancer and the other a Male Musician. They are 12" high and date from the 1930's-1940's. They are in excellent condition.

The classic sterling and rosewood three-piece carving set by Hector Aguilar, Mexico, c.1944. The set usually consists of only two pieces. Japanese porcelain high footed dish in the form of a late 17th century Nabeshima dish. This one is a fairly straight forward copy of one of a set of dishes at the Tokyo Museum depicting an old cherry tree with abundant blossoms, proably made sometime in the 20th century. Underglaze blue and overglaze enamels. 10 inches (25.5 cm) diameter and 2 7/8 inches (7.5 cm) tall.

Consolidated Glass Company produced the Catalonian line in 1927. It was made to look like glass found in Catalonia Spain at the archaeological sites, and had bubbles and raised rings blown into the glass. This is the 1154 sweet pea vase - part of the Spanish Knobs variation - in honey yellow.(This color is a yellow ceramic wash applied over crystal glass.) The vase is approximately 4 1/2 inches high and in perfect condition. I have other items in this pattern available, just ask.

A Large and Heavy Paul Revere (Sons of Liberty) Bowl by Crichton Brothers of London through their New York Affiliate. A large and beautiful pink glass bowl decorated with frosted lines and circles - the bowl was made by Schneider company of France around 1930. The large blown glass bowl (has a polished pontil) is 14 inches (35,5 cm) in diameter and is in excellent condition (there are some expected faint scratches on its bottom - see picture).
