This pair of club chairs that we call Bern Cinema Clair have an rather light tone which is unusual for a pair as old as this. Circa late 1930's, this pair was surely inspired by Jacques Emil Rhulmanns' famous Elephant Club chair. Beautiful Set of 8 French Louis XVI Style Black Lacquer & Gilt Armchairs Chairs in stripped silk peau de soir fabric and custom slip covers

This is a 9 drawer leather chest, that can be used for a number of things, but is perfect as a jewelry chest. It was made by Maitland Smith and is extremely heavy. The drawers are black lacquer on the inside, and brown leather with gold trim on the outside. It is signed on the inside of the top drawer. It measures 42" tall x 10" wide x 11" deep. It is in good condition with some wear to the leather.
