Japanese 20th century wooden carving OKIMONO of KANZAN, a hermit, carrying his signature rolled hand scroll in his right hand and pointing up with his left. Kanzan means "cold mountain" so he is sometimes called the recluse of cold mountain. He was a recluse in the Taoist tradition. He is almost always associated with JITTOKU and the two of the were suppose to have spoken in gibberish to each other...

Two hand-embroidered diamond shaped white silk emblems of a pair of cranes, enhanced by gold-thread outlines, on a kikko hanabishi background in multicolor yuzen dye technique between two bands of bright orange-red. This is a very desirable edition published in the 1950s by Shobisha, which acquired publishing rights from Kawaguchi and Sakai.
Bears the round, red seal used by Shobisha in the 1950s on the verso.
Condition: Excellent. One corner has a light crease at the margin.

A pair of wood form for tabi socks. It is written the size "9" which is W:7cm, L:21.7cm, H:4.7cm. In good condition but it has the part of the arch of the left foot cut off. The first half of the 20th century.
