A whimsical khaki green-yellow glazed Japanese pottery figural sake pot depicting a tanuki trying to make off with a proportionately larger sake barrel. Early 20th century to turn of that century. Good condition. Height 3 1/2 inches (8.89cm). About 4 1/2 inches (11.4cm) length from tanuki's nose.

Japanese Sliding Door framed by Kiri Wood and Bamboo, 36 1/2" high, 1 1/4" thick, nice old warm Kiri, Reed and Bamboo framed Sliding Door, the condition is good.
Japanese Wooden Box, 2 sections, 16" high, 14" wide, 7" high for each section, "Kanji" written in front, and "Kutani" Kanji was written on the side. The condition is old and good.
Six(6) Japanese Gilded on Copper Hardware fittings, early 1900's, 2" wide, 2 1/4" deep include long nail, loose 3 pieces fit together tight once nailed in place. One of them has old black lacquer finish and most of gilt finish worn off, no missing pieces.
Japanese vintage silk obi with a contemporary flair, decorated on one side in purple with woven gold butterflies and on the opposite side in white with gold butterflies. Probably dates from the mid-20th century or slightly later. 138” long x 5 3/4” wide. Excellent, like new condition.

Unusual early Showa period (1930s) ceramic sake cup made in nerikomi (agateware) technique, its body with vertical grooves all around the perimeter. Nerikomi (translated as “mix and pull up”) is achieved by laminating different colored clays together and throwing them on a wheel to develop a swirling and spiraling effect. A stunning Kamakura Bori tea tray. It was hand rubbed to enhance the red and black lacquers that were applied over the wood carved tray. In very good condition, it measures 10" diameter x 1.5" deep.
