This porcelain plate was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1933. The date codes indicate this year. It is signed by the artist E. Barker. The plate measures 10 ¾” in diameter. A brilliant array of hand painted flowers in an urn fill the center of the plate. They are realistically portrayed in fine detail. The rim of the plate is finished with an embossed band of gold. It’s like an English country garden on a plate. Condition: Excellent

Japanese glass ojime in a form of tombodama bead representing Zen Buddhism Patriarch Daruma enveloped in blue robe with various flowers. Tombodama can be translated as “dragonfly ball” and the name is thought to come about because when the molten glass is applied to the core bead it resembles a dragonfly’s eye. This is a really great set of Little Hostess Party Dishes made by Hazel Atlas in the early 1950s. This sixteen piece set includes four plates, four cups, four saucers, a creamer, sugar, teapot with lid. The colors are the burgundy, green, gray, chartreuse. This seated dachshund was designed by Arthur Gredington. He is 2 3/4" long. His colors are black and tan- gloss. He was issued in 1956.

A woven wool sash from Tibet, circa mid to late 20th century. Measuring 15.3 x 300 cm including the fringes, it is in overall good condition, but with some fraying. These sashes are used by Tibetans to tie their traditional attire (chuba for women, lokpa for men) and also to secure knives, bundles etc. Enlargement #6 shows the use of these sashes in traditional Tibetan nomadic culture (© 1995 East of Lo Manthang by Peter Matthiessen and Thomas Laird).

An Art Deco sterling silver handled double jigger by silversmith John Hasselbring (Brooklyn, NY). The angularity of the handle contrasts nicely with the traditional shape of the cups. Stamped with Hasselbring's hallmark.
