A fascinating manipulation of fired on patination to the copper or bronze, shouldered vase. A rich, earthy copper red fired on patina is on the interior and on the exterior serving as background to irregular streams, inlets and pools of dappled verdigris among, and picked out by, (seemingly) flames of speckled gold fading into the background color. This set of 6 porcelain demitasse cups and saucers was produced in Finland by Arabia in the mid 20th century. The saucers have a diameter of 4 1/4 inches and the cups are 2 1/4 inches high. They are made of fine, hard paste porcelain. They are decorated with a combination of transfer design and hand enameled accents. The designs are very modern in style, perhaps from the 1960s. The handles are gilded as are the interiors of the cups...

This porcelain trinket box was produced in Germany by Meissen in the mid-20th century. It is 2 1/2 inches in diameter and 1 1/2 inches high. It is made of superb quality hard paste porcelain. It is decorated with expertly hand painted flowers. They are realistic and very colorful. The rims are trimmed with gold. Condition: Excellent, first quality.
