Letter opener hand made of sterling, brass, and copper by Los Castillo, Mexico, c.1940. Well executed married metals design on front and back comprise the top of the piece. It is signed "LOS CASTILLO TAXCO STERLING MEXICO #58" and was made before the bellmark system was instituted by the Mexican gov't. in 1947. This is a high end sterling silver with 24K gold overlay travel razor set. Made for Thomae Company of Attleboro, Massachusetts, the Gillette razor features a telescopic handle with a head that unscrews. The small tube case has 2 small replacement screws inside. There is room for monogramming on the box. In excellent condition, the box with contents inside measures 2" long, 1.25" wide, and 1.25" high/deep. The was a very expensive set in its day. Circa 1920's

A delightful mid-century modern jigger by Reed & Barton. The figurine of the town drunk has a 1920’s feel, but the interior green enamel identifies the jigger as part of Reed & Barton’s “Color-Clad” line designed by John Prip and introduced in 1961. The bottom is marked “Reed & Barton 2oz” and has the pattern number “260.”

A classic figural sterling silver thimble jigger by Thomae & Co. The rim is engraved "Only A Thimble Full." The interior retains a small amount of its original gilding. Several companies made variations of this jigger, but those by Thomae are among the best due to their superior weight and workmanship. Origin: America, ca. 1935. This is a very fine vintage Plique-a-Jour bowl. It is prolifically decorated with colorful hydrangea and butterflies. It is a petite bowl measuring 3 3/4 inches across and 2 inches tall. An uncommon piece in excellent condition.
