This lovely Meissen oblong bowl has a cobolt blue background with raised white and gold design in the center and on the edges. It is in perfect condition with no wear to the gold, no cracks, chips, or scratches. It measures 12 1/4" long by 8 1/4" deep.

Tsuto made of rice straw which is used for containing ceramic plates. It has a small wooden tag "12 plates". In old age, there was no plastic cushioning material so that rice straw was used much for it and for other crafts. This porcelain dish was produced in Germany by Meissen before 1970. It has a diameter of 8 1/2 inches and it is 1 3/4 inches high. The porcelain is of the most excellent quality. The dish is formed with a ribbed interior fanning out into a scalloped edge. The decoration is taken from the Chinese. There are fighting roosters in the center, red dragons and Chinese ornaments. With it's GREAT color and style this Venini will fit easily into your Retro 50's decor! This Venini Fazzoletto measures just over 5 inches (12.7 cm) tall, and is 7 inches (17.8 cm) in diameter. A Chinese Yixing Teapot. Length approximately 10.8 cm (the tipspout to the handle) and height approximately 5.3 cm. Good condition.

Measuring 27 x 29 cm, this embroidery from Afghanistan is composed of mostly satin stitch in silk thread. The continuous supplementary-weft technique makes this textile reversible and either face may be used as the front. Condition: Excellent, no stains, no flaws of any kind.

Georgian-style sterling silver water pitcher. Made by Gorham in Providence, ca 1920. Baluster with leaf-capped double-scroll handle, v-lip spout, and round and stepped foot. Gadrooned rim. Traditional with nice heft. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, no. 81, and volume (4 1/2 pints). Very good condition.

Old Hakoseko (Japanese tissue holder or purse) for times when women wear formal kimono. They are placed in the chest area with the chains of the kanzashi hair ornaments hanging from the obi belt. The beautiful embroidery work (very delicate) on this hakoseko did not show up in the photos. The red color is a much softer tone; this is truely an elegant piece.
