Attractive Japanese lacquer box containing matching pair of covered boxes. The leaves and flowers of the branches design are gold makie. The large box is 12 inches x 5 inches x 2 inches high. Top of large box is slightly dulled with age and exposure. Inside boxes approx 3 inches x 5 inches x 1.5 inches high and are pristine. No loss and no damage.

A vintage sterling silver figural jigger by Alvin, the sides marked off with enameled stoplights in green, yellow and red. Each light is accompanied by the words “Go,” “Caution” and “Stop.” The bottom is hallmarked by Alvin.

Japanese scroll painting in ink and colors on paper depicting a samurai in full armor, a fan in his hand and a banner on his back, standing above a kneeling geisha, a lengthy poem inscribed above. Motoyama Izumi (b. 1938) Bizen Sake Bottle Tokkuri This Bizen stoneware sake bottle is made with natural ash glaze. The works of Motoyama Izumi are held in Brooklyn Museum in New York. Bizen pottery was originally produced in Imbe village of Bizen province since Kamakura period of 14th century. Size Height 12cm Diameter 8.5cm Condition : Very good condition, no chips, no cracks. A French Art Deco cocktail pick set in the form of Gideon the duck and his snail friend worked in chrome on a mahogany base. The design is by the famed French Art Deco illustrator Benjamin Rabier, who created a comic strip called "The Adventures of Gideon" in 1923. It was immensely popular and Rabier was commissioned to make a range of entertaining barware. Few of Rabier's designs were signed, but this example is signed with his full name. The twelve picks have red bakelite finials...

This tea set was brought back by American missionary who was in China 1920-1948...She was repatriated to the US immediately after WW2 and returned by way of Japan.
