Pepper and salt set, probably 1960's, marked Made in England. When put together the two halves form a white sphere, when apart they display a printed decoration in black of two stylized lions, the design in the manner of Richard Guyatt. Height "3 ¼/ 8 cm. Condition: fine.

Large navy blue cotton cloth, 84" x 80 1/2", meticulously hand stitched with old Japanese folk art, sashiko stitches. It is a piece of art that began as a necessity among the farmers. Cotton stitches were added to their clothes that were made out of hemp to give it softness, warmth, and strength. Old jackets, furoshiki wrapping cloths, etc. that were adorned with interesting designs created with Sashiko stitches, are popular collector’s items today...

An unusual three piece late 19th century silverplated carving set by Simpson, Hall and Miller. This set has silverplated handles in the form of deer antlers rather than real antlers; it consists of the 16-1/4" carving knife (blade marked SIMPSON, HALL, MILLER & CO. SHEAR STEEL. WALLINGFORD, CT.), the 14-3/8" smooth sided sharpening steel, and the 12-5/8" carving fork. Interesting Modern Glass vessel depicting a stylized expression of a tree branch covered with abstract crawling critters and a realistic rendering of a glass ladybug.
