A fine Arita blue & white porcelain flower vase to be mounted on a wall, kakehana. 18th century.

The flower vase is heavily moulded with a leaping Chinese Lion or karashishi in a landscape of rocks and Tree Peonies, a classic subject in Japanese art known as “Botan-ni-Shishi”, an auspicious subject.

This old kakehana was manufactured in Arita in the mid Edo period, probably for the home market.

Offered is a very difficult-to-find grouping of twelve, matching, 19th century, porcelain, apothecary cabinet drawer pulls.

Each pull measures about 2"W x 1 3/4"H x 1 1/2" front to back (not including bolt).

The condition of the pulls is very good with only a few minor manufacturing imperfections that add to the desired patina of an antique of this age and period.

Extremely Rare Poupee (doll) from the Louis Vuitton Toy Shop. Made from a type of plastic (possibly celluloid) with delicate hand painted features, dressed in a detailed regional costume of Bretagne (Brittany). The costume appears to be of a style found in the area around Pont Aven. The face of the doll is of a mature woman not a child. Anyone who appreciates antique jewelry would love this fabulous platinum and diamond ring from the 1920-s. The non certified center stone is an approximately 1.30Ct brilliant cut diamond that has H color and I1 clarity. The masterfully crafted delicate openwork platinum setting is decorated by 18 single cut diamonds. The approximate total weight of all diamonds is 1.65 Ct. This Japanese okimono quality bronze turtle has a champleve decorated shell that opens to reveal a pipe stand. These classic Deco design 14Kt gold and onyx cuff-links sport hexagonal onyx columns held by gold collars. The toggle backs are 14Kt yellow gold and the springs work well. The onyx columns are ¾” long. The cuff-links are in excellent condition.

A Chinese jade libation cup of pale green hue with a flash of russet, carved in the shape of a peach and standing on a five petal support. The outside has scrolling foliage and the handle is formed as a flower spray with a flat reticulated top surface. An excellent example of 16/17 century lapidary art and in excellent condition. This rare set of five hand wrought 1930's sterling silver heart shaped buttons were designed & signed by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling in the 1930's. Each button measures 3/4" X 3/4". All are in beautiful condition & each is signed on the reverse with the early WS hallmark. In our 30+ years of collecting Spratling we have never come across this design.

A collection of three (3) pieces of Venini glass from 2002. All three pieces have the round clear Venini Murano Made In Italy label to the side, and all are signed venini 2002 on the base. There are no chips, cracks or repairs to any of the pieces.

A collection of pencil neck vases and a large brandy snifter all in satinato glass. Orange, green, blue and yellow satinato colors are represented. All pieces have a clear satinato foot. Pieces were designed and made by Carlo Moretti for Rosenthal-Netter.
